Query Letter
The Editor in chief,
Joseph E. Gaugler, Ph.D.
Dear Dr. Gaugler,
Ref: Query Letter
This query is an inquisition concerning your publication interest in a project I am currently working on as part of my DNP program requirement. I have styled this project under the working title “EB Guidelines and Vaccination Protocol for healthcare providers (ARNP, MD, RN, RN, and MA) that assist the Elderly Hispanic Population.” This topic is relevant because the population targeted by this project are highly underserved as well as uninsured given our current healthcare system.
Mainly, my project seeks to optimize the rate at which healthcare providers at JDH Medical Group utilize EB and vaccination protocols in caring for the healthcare needs of Miami-Dade-based elderly Hispanics. The project achieves this objective through an 8 to 10-week pre-and posttest assessment supported through health records, self-assessment, and group interview techniques. As stated above, Hispanic Americans are a vulnerable population at risk of infection concerning treatable diseases such as influence, herpes zoster, pneumonia, and tetanus (Davis, 2012).
The project uses Polly Ryan’s integrated theory of health behavior change (ITHBC) and Lewin’s Change Theory to front the changes and guidelines that drive this transformative healthcare process. Both theories are vital for their emphasis on the driving and limiting factors to vaccination among the elderly Hispanic population (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2016). They are further vocal for their strength in the identification of primary areas that warrant data evaluation techniques for desirability in result presentation. Nonetheless, the project found that the elderly Hispanics are largely out of immunization initiatives because of limited linguistic and financial resources. Thus, it is vital that PCPs offer EB vaccination protocols aimed at increasingly immunization and vaccination practices (Morton, 2013).
Ideally, the formal manuscript body is 10,415 words long, whose outline includes:

I am [Enter name here]. I am a current student at [Enter school and course here]. Given the past few years, I have focused on advancing my academic qualifications to DNP level. My primary area of concentration has been Gerontology at JDH Medical Group within the Miami-Dade community. Both my colleagues and tutors have offered adequate assistance in ensuring that I meet the clinical problems identified in this area. With their help, I have had the ability to collect enough information from various sources as a way of informing on this subject.
I would, therefore, appreciate any move that shows acceptance or direction from you to have the Journal of Applied Gerontology’s readers review and comment on this topic as well as the paper. I have reviewed your content and believe that it the script will be a vital addition to the next publication. I can send the manuscript for your review and consideration within 30 days upon your response to this letter. I look forward to your reply.
