In the fourth part, Dr. Beckwith is listed as the c-author of the book that he has not worked on making this a case of plagiarism. The complainant, in this case, is the actual author, but Dr. Beckwith lists himself as the author. He takes credit for work and research conducted by another person. In such a case, addressing and approaching the administration as well as the accused. However, in most cases similar to this, the accused has the manipulation ability. They manipulate the administration making it difficult to punish or act justly. Eventually, the student or complainant is made to suffer for reporting the issue. Therefore, one should address the situation carefully while having enough evidence or finding other tactics that prove authorship.
The second video is a case of falsification where the professor manipulates the results of the research to stall the review process. In falsification, time is also considered as an important resource which can be manipulated. The professor manipulates the results so that they can be revised as many times to stall the review process. The reviewers should give ample time for the revisions so that once the time is up the review is conducted. The deadline will reduce chances of people attempting to falsify information in their research. Cases of falsification should also be reported, but there should be evidence. A thorough review should be conducted so that any trace of falsification is detected and addressed. However, in the case, the review process is conducted by their colleague which makes it easier for them to get away with the falsification claims. The administration should ensure the processes involved in research projects are conducted professionally to avoid cases of fabrication, falsification and plagiarism.
