Interview experience
It is quite uncommon to have and conduct personal interviews with charity based people. Mostly these kinds of individuals are always busy and quite frankly work unnoticed. I was privileged to interview one of the heads of a charity organization, Mr. Jimmy, the leadership at South Side International Center (SSIC) in Milwaukee which has the mandate to help solve the needs of the refugee children.
Having to interview Mr. Jimmy personally required that I travel all the way to Milwaukee where I was to meet him. I was quite nervous since this interview was a big close up. However, the feeling of visiting the refugee center was thrilling felt fulfilling. Mr. Jimmy welcomed me into his office where the exclusive was to be conducted. Mr. Jimmy is an influential person and therefore, the feeling of interviewing him was fantastic considering the excellent humanitarian work they do there.
The exclusive with a humanitarian relation proves to be influential and bore an enormous meaning. First, the interview would serve to inform the outside world of the activities that were happening there. Secondly, the discussion would be used as a channel through which donors, supporters, and well-wishers would get to know and join hands in helping the refugee children.
Additionally, proper tonal variation proved to be an effective way of keeping him focused and reassured that the interview was going well and that he was doing just fine. I ensured that the loudness of my voice was in a low and friendly key to avoiding distracting or irritating him in any manner.
