My previous education experience was not very positive and resulted in my academic suspension due to a number of facts which had made me to change my priorities for that period of time. The matter is that while I was living in another state far from my family, my niece got sick and subsequently operated. Since my brother-in-law was not available at that moment being out of the country, I had to constantly travel to visit my niece and support my family.
Unfortunately, owing to this stressful situation, I was always depressed and disconcerted in my academic work so I missed the opportunity of addressing academic advisors for help keeping my problems to myself which was a very bad mistake.
All this time during my academic suspension was spent with and for my family, in particular with my niece whose health was all our family’s priority. I was very upset because of my suspension, however at that time my family needed me, so I couldn’t continue my education normally.
Presently, I would like to ask you for my academic reinstatement which I feel ready for. After the above-mentioned difficulties my views on the major choice have been changed, and I decided to go for psychology instead of my previous biology major. Due to the survived situation, I got a very reach experience of managing my own depression and finding appropriate motivation for achieving my goals, so I feel that psychology major would be more familiar to me under these conditions.
In particular, I’m planning to take psychology as my major for the next semester in case of my readmission’s approval. In addition, I would like to attend humanity courses to finish my dec, and take summer math course in Hanyang University in Korea to fill my math dec as well.
I sincerely believe that conclusions drawn by me from the previous bad experience and my plan for new academic goals achievements will help me to successfully finish my education.
