Research indicates that e-commerce on the Internet helps in cutting down business expenses as it eases communication and marketing while streamlining business activities (Albright 34). Moreover, the internet allows businesses to communicate more efficiently with clients, thereby attracting and retaining more customers.

Primarily, one must have the right mind-set when starting an e-business. The entrepreneur should know and understand that retail and e-commerce have different characteristics as well as challenges.
