Chapter: Findings
This section includes the findings attained from the responses of participants via questionnaire along with the graphical illustration. The total number of participants selected in this study is 178. Frequency distribution tables along with cross tabulation calculations are done in order to find out the relationship between variables.

Tourism sector helps any country to boost its economy. Similarly, the participants’ responses to the asked question whether “tourism sector will bring benefit to Singapore” proved that Singapore economy has been observed a growing trend due to an increase in tourism activities. In Singapore, tourists mainly come from neighborhood countries like china, Indonesia and Malaysia. However, there is less percentage of the visitors who come from Thailand and other parts of the world but they play their contributing part towards Singapore progressive economy. There are very few respondents who adversely affected from the inflationary pressure in their daily lives.
The question was asked from the participants whether “Singapore relies on importing good” or not. In response to that, majority of them agreed to the fact. Another contributing factor towards Singapore economy is relying on importing goods. Singapore weather is considered as the ideal one so the tourist activities are open throughout the year. This country does not face any seasonality issue. As the visitors usually come to this country from Indonesia, China and Malaysia mainly and few other parts of the worlds as well. Mostly people prefer to stay at the budget/economy hotels as well as luxury hotels. Small chunk prefer to stay at bouquet halls and other accommodations.
The findings are helpful to conclude that most of the tourists/visitors avail hotels instead of choosing other accommodation mediums. Singapore has an idea geographic location, which helps in boosting the tourist activities in the country. People come from different countries due to Singaporean tourists attractions. Gambling, casinos, shopping mall and restaurants are the biggest attractions for the visitors. The businesses have been flourished by offering tourist attracting products and services. Chinese economy is the most stable one and that is the main reason most of tourists seen in Singapore belongs to Chinese population. Chinese visitors/tourists are considered as affluent so they contribute a lot in Singapore economy. The country prefer to hire foreign workers in their service sector for instance Philippines. The reason for that is, the labors from developing or underdeveloped countries are quite cheap than the local workforce Szivas, Riley & Airey, 2003, 64).
Cross Tabulation
Females who belong to the age group 19 to 28 years are more in the occupations that are related to tourism. However, the shocking fact depicted from the findings that mostly those females are in such occupations who are either divorce or single parent. As the tourism, industry of Singapore is at its boom so the pay structure of the employees is also attractive enough to retain them for long-term. Most of visitors earn between 10000 to 40000 dollars and according to them, the most effective ways to actuate for tourist activities are consumer promotions as well as advertising. Chinese and Indonesia visitors/tourist often come to Singapore and engage in sightseeing/entertaining and shopping activities. Tourism is active throughout the year in Singapore; however, the peak season is April to June and July to September.
