Rough Draft for Paper 1:
People and Junk Foods
Many Hhealthy and nutritious foods have been replaced by the new food named Jjunk Ffoods. Children and JJunk foods is are a critical emerging issue within thein society as far as their children’s body health is concerned. This is an issue that deteriorates wWhen children consume high level of junk foods, their health is thereby compromiseding their body health and later on deteriorates. It is clear that junk foods is are appealing, convenient and tasty. Food stuff such as burgers, chips, pizzas, ice-cream etc. are some of junk foods associated with that children love to eat. Most people have forgotten that the primary reason for eating is nourishment. Junk food is affecting the health of children, but only parents can help them maintain balanced dietary plans. Junk foods is are not good for us because it they haves lots of fat and sugar, which can cause heart attacks. It is evident that most children especially in the United States have no limit towards consumingption of unhealthy food or junk foods. Junk food restaurants continue to increase especially in all many urban areas because the demand of for their products continues to increase.
There are growing numbers of children who eat Jjunk foods, which has continuoused to prove to be a sensitive issue within in the society because of the rate at which children are consuming it. People should work on modalities of to ensureing that children do not consume junk food, especially, in large quantities. I often remember Oone of my friend's daughters, who is 5 years old, yet and weighst 120 pound or so just because of she eatsing too much junk food everydayevery day and in large quantities. If only she had control of junk food intake, she could have had a healthy body devoid of numerous complications. Now she is obese and diabetic. I amAlso also reminded when, a few years back when I went to India. I left for visiting, my husband was in our home alone here for a couple of months. He works on a regular basis and is not a good cook so and he started eating outside food outside everyday and and drank 4 to 5 cans of cola everydayevery day. Just bBecause of thatthat, he gaineds a lot of weight. In relation to the aforementioned instances, statistics have revealed that Oobesity cases statistics has continuoused to increase in number all over society. It shows that children are consuming more than the expected levels of junk foods.
In the our society where that we are currently living, the issue of unhealthy living due to junk foods continues to increase. This is because many parents have neglected aspect of teaching their children on concerning healthy eating. Remember that Yyounger children learn by example. They see what their parents eat and that is their first guide to in choosing making healthy and nutritious foods choices. Children require proper guidance on the manner to consume junk food in order to lead a healthy life. My neighbor’s son returns from school and sits in front of the television with a bowl of chips and a can of coke. When caregivers avoid vegetables and, instead or only eat them foods dripping with sauce or topped with bacon, the child notices and is likely to follow emulates them. Many Ppeople think foods are generally chicken nuggets;, peanut butter, macaroni, and cheese are as the only way to get children to eat. On my part, I never fell for this and that my son never ate junk food. The I believe that most children will eat this because it is what they are foods repeatedly served to them, over and over again when they are small. When the a family decides that the child is old enough to eat what the rest of the family is eating, the child who has never been exposed to these new and untested foods and will resists on eating them. as new and untested.
Many Ffood companies are also targeting children through TV, computer games, and mobile phones. Watching TV encourages children to eat more junk foods particularly soft drinks and fast foods. We There is a need to set a limit for total daily screen time, including television and Internet. Additionally, most TV shows keeps kids away from all the activities like such as biking, swimming, or playing soccer. While watching TV, many people likewise eat unhealthy food (e.g., , like fast foods, candy and all other kinds of foods with a lot of rich in fats and sugars). After watching McDonald’s ads on TV, for instance, one of my friend's sons asked everyday for McDonald’s breakfast and that his parents should he bags the foods parents for ithim. As a result, most Kkids become overweight; they later experience health problems, like such as high blood pressure and diabetes. The current eating habit by of children has turned them into couch potatoes thereby losing self-esteem to face challenges of in life. Children need an effective sensitization on the kinds of food that they eat because of the havoc and problems that they are creating for themselves. Young people should have comprehensive sensitization pertaining to the foods that they consume and all the side effects associateding with it. Through this sensitization, the level of food-related diseases, such as diabetes in children, willwould be reduced drastically.; otherwise, Llow self-esteem can could even lead to consequences like depression. As another example, Oone of my friends has been suffereding with depression for 5 years. Through her counselor’s and doctors’ advice, she realized that she had irregular and junk meals (such as one day missing breakfast and having junk food in a for lunch or the next missing lunch and having junk snack instead). Then throughout the day her blood sugar levels were going up and down, thus, affecteding her mood to be going up and down in sync as well.
Children who are obsessed with junk food should be encouraged to take physical activities that are essential to their body health. This is because physical activity is essential to all children who are in of all ages whenever they consume junk food that does not provide the necessary nutrients needed for sufficient energy. Junk food is not good for children; it contains too much sugars and fats, which cause diseases such as heart attack. It is factual to state that consumptions of junk foods haves increased because of the multiple numbernumbers of fast food joints that continue to increasing increase radicallydrastically. Junk foods can be appealing for many reasons, which include because of their cheap price, taste and convenience. Children have been attracted massively to junk foods such as French fries, burgers, sausages, sodas and other unhealthy foods. It should thus be clear to all that children should reduce the level of junk foods that they consume and alsoand try to undertake physical activities. Upon taking this precautionary measure, the level of chronic diseases and obesity level among children will might be significantly reduced significantly.
