Education is the best investment that an individual can engage in. Fundamentally, the economy of the United States has significantly changed over the past 30 years. These have been endowed in the workplace environments and the quality of knowledge and skill required to a particular to carry out a job. In the two generations ago, the jobs were for life and individual could do the job until he or she was willing to retire by themselves. Today, the majority of careers last just for five to ten years. The world has rapidly changed, marked by the firm competition among the workers, irrespective of the levels of the organisation. This makes it necessary to invest personally in education.
Ideally, I have heavily invested in education at Catawba College. A subjection of this investment to scrutiny may reveal it as a substantial loss in relation to time and money. For example, I have to pay my tuition which is $350 a credit hour, and I have taken nine credit hours for the fall of 2015, 12 credit hours for the spring semester and the six credit hours for summer. All these translate to a total of 27 credits each costing $350. As a result, the amount I have invested during these periods sum up to a total of $9450. Besides, the need and the desire to give a better life to my son prompts me to pay him about $48000 at the University of Virginia. To adequately invest in my education, I ceased from working a full-time job and eventually working for three days a week. This kind of shift lowered my turnover to 48 hours and therefore sees me paid $16.33 an hour.

Recent researches reveal that the current generation perceives training and development as significant elements for effective workplace productivity. On a wider note, these generations value to advance educationally and ultimately make more money. To sum up, they would also like to make substantial contributions and possess the fear of failing and lagging behind within this competitive world.
In my opinion, therefore, the satisfaction of this desire with the continuing education and practical training will help me achieve both my personal and professional objectives. Incremental differences, in this case, are measured regarding the opportunities, time and money derived as a result of investing in education. As a well-trained employee who possess the capability and the willingness to assume the control over the job, I would like to make great and significant contributions to the economy of the United States as a fear failing and falling behind this competitive world. I would also like to have control over the job that I will get. These include less supervision to free enable me to free the management for other tasks, thus minimising the time wastage and duplication of services. With all the skills and knowledge received from the training put in place, I will also be able to respond effectively to the questions and needs of the customers thus establishing a great loyalty with them. All these benefits have immeasurable revenue and benefits and therefore will promote the development as significant elements for effective workplace productivity.
