Employee motivation is one of the key factors that make a business thrive and flourish. This is due to the self driving force that is inculcated in the minds of the employees giving them a driving force as well as a sense of belonging and ownership. Due to this aspect, employee motivation is a very essential part in business. This idea of keeping the employees always motivated forms the basic thesis of my paper.
Turning to the possible opposition to this theme, the main obstacle would be money. Most of democratic decision making processes are time and money consuming thus many management panels shuns them. The other bit is on the working conditions. Some employees would like to work minimally thus would make unrealistic requests. For example, a front office employee may request a flexible schedule that would allow remote operation from whichever location. The employee would not be the one to cater for the expenses but the company thus the overall running costs go very high.
In conclusion, employee motivation is very essential since if it were not for the employees, the company would collapse. This requires they be always treated with utmost consideration and importance. However, their demands should not be implemented without any considerations. This is because some of their demands are very expensive and unrealistic.
Part two
The main thesis in this article is the fact that migraine is not a disease but just a disability that should not be treated with an attention if illness. ‘Migraines are a chronic, painful disability that affects 30 million Americans. This disability is not psychosomatic. It is not the disease of overly emotional, hormonal women nor is the sufferer drug seeking addict and it deserves to be treated as any other disability.’
The main persuasive ideas are in the evidence provided by the author that migraine is not psychosomatic, it does not affect women only and it is a widespread disability in America infecting about 30 million people. The medics also have claimed of the condition as a disability not an illness
‘1. Migraines are a chronic, painful disability that affects 30 million Americans.
2. There are stereotypes and misconceived prejudices regarding migraines.
3. Migraines are just headaches and that people who are suffering a migraine can just toughen up and get on with it.
4. Due to the medications they take, migraine patients are drug addicts
5. People, who suffer from chronic migraines, a-typical migraines, et al, are not entitled to be considered for disability.
6. Migraines are not dangerous and/or a health risk for the patients who suffer from them.
7. for health professionals: someone who has been suffering from a migraine and shows up in the ER is not entitled to a higher level of triage because a 3 headache is not a serious conditions’.
The possible counter arguments that can be launched against this persuasion include1. Migraines are psychosomatic and/or emotional based. 2. Migraines are not a serious illness 3. Migraines are ONLY related to diet most people get them from something they've eaten 4. Migraines are just a bad headache.5. If people would exercise more they wouldn't have headaches.
These ideas completely dispel migraine as a disability since by exercise; one can relax to levels of always keeping headaches very low. Also, treatment for a disability is mostly once what of this continuous treatment all through?
