Arguably, 21st century organizations struggle for the implementation and formation of policies that will boost the use of renewable resources. Making of alternative sources of renewable energy began after crisis of 1970s. In fact in the past, people could not believe that wind energy could be a real solution to energy problems, but recently it has gained momentum. Solar energy too is part of the renewable energy. The markets of technology on renewable products are coming to age. Photovoltaic solar electricity too has become famous among consumers in the US due to its cost effective. Solar concentrator forms part of renewable energy. The food products have been used as fuels, for example grain stalks.
Despite its cost effectiveness, there are many challenges. The industry has had a very difficult time competing with the use of fossil fuels. In the long run the renewable energy might be scarce and unpredictable because most of them are determined by the forces of nature. In addition it is very difficult to get enough renewable energy required to replace the fossil fuels. The cost of producing and collecting the renewable energy is very high. Solar energy depends on light which always fluctuates.
Renewable energy are numerous in the world .They are mostly replaced by natural processes and are part of our eco-system and natural environment. This renewable energy include solar radiation, biomass, tides and geothermal.
On the other hand non-renewable energy refers energy that is generated from nature. It cannot be produced and once used there is no more remaining. These particular resources exist in a constant amount and it consumption is faster than the rate in which nature can produce. Non-renewable energy includes fossil fuels such as petroleum, coal and natural gas.
Non-renewable resources once used cannot be reused again. Therefore, it reduces in supply each and every time that has been used. For example oil has caused a lot of conflict in the world mostly a war between US and the Middle East countries.
Dependency and persistent increase in the price of oil has caused global financial crisis. Currently there is inflation in the world; this is indirectly and directly caused by the oil prices.
Most of the non-renewable energy resources are environmental friendly. Monitoring and maintaining the gas lines and oil pollution is very difficult. Addictionally using coal releases carbon into the atmosphere.
