Introduction
It was Friday evening, we were taking supper my brother Alex, and I was seated next to our father. Our mother was not around since she had gone to see her friend who got an accident and was in hospital. She promised that she would come back on that day but she had arrived until when our father had arrived from work. Our father works with the Russian company. He normally comes with newspapers and Alex and I try to analyze the world affairs captured in the newspaper. Today the newspaper, which our father brought, had captured Russian country and the idea of socialism. We had finish-taking supper, when Alex asked me to go to the study room to analyze what the newspaper contained as usual. Today the headline of the newspaper had captured the Russian country and the policy of communism.
Our father is always interested with the politics of Russia because the country that he works in belongs to the Russian government. He normally tells us that the change in politics in Russia affects the economy of that country. The effect in Russian economy of Russian will eventually affects the operations of different businesses in that country and this will extend into the companies of that country which might be operating in other countries. This is the reason why our father worries about the politics and economy of Russia. Alex and I when to the study room as usual. Today it was abide different because instead going through the newspaper as usual my brother told me to go direct into the story about Russia and the communism. Up to this time, my father was still in the sitting room watching the Television. He always watches the program known as The Insight.
We then opened the page that contains this story. It was talking about how Russia started the communism policy and the importance of communism to the economy of Russia and other communist’s countries. It also brought out the failures of communism. The paper also talked about its comparison to the capitalism, which was adopted by other nations. Alex was interested so much about the story because he was taking a unit about communism in his history class. As we continued reading, the newspaper my father and our neighbor came into our study room. My neighbor, John was an old man who is also interested with politics. He normally comes to our home when our father has arrived from work to read the country, which our father brings. John created us and requested to have the newspaper. He perused through the paper and when he arrived to the page that we were reading that is the page, which contained Russia and communism, he stopped abide and became curious about the page. Then we knew from that time that John was an army officer. He took part in the Second World War. He told us that he became an army officer not because he was interested in the field but because he was forced.
He narrated that during the world two he participated because he was forced to join the war by the socialists. The Russian government during that time was a strong member and supporter of the communism.”I left my children to go for war,” John told us. He said by the time he came from war his family was in a miserable situation.” If you do not join the army, we are going to kill you,” he continued telling us. That day when he talked about his family, we sympathize with him since he was really in a depression. He talked the war that was brought by the communism idea and its effects in the economy of different countries. He told us that although there were benefits of the communism idea, there were many demerits associated with it especially in the economic sector due to the reluctance of some people to take the idea seriously.
After john finished narrating the story my father also told us that when he was young he remember people talking about the communism which to him during that time he could not know what the idea was. He remembered his neighbor being taken to the war to fight for the communism. As soon as John and my father left, we remained with my brother Alex and we continued with our analysis of the newspaper. At some pages of the paper, the communism strengths and weaknesses were stressed. It was also talking about the nations that joined the communism block and how those nations benefited in from the communism nations. Alex told me how they are handling the unit about the communism. He said after getting the narration from John, our father and even from the newspaper itself, he was now in a good position to understand the unit better. After we analyzed the story on the paper, we went to sleep but were eager to know more about the idea of communism. I was looking ahead to doing a lot of research about the idea of communism.
