Hurricane and tornado control device
Part 1: Patent ownership
This patent is called hurricane and tornado control device. Andrew Waxmanski applied for this patent after he invented it in 2001 (www.google.com). The application number for this patent is US O9/985, 284. The patent is owned by Andrew Waxmanski.
Part 2: Function of the product and why it deserves a patent
The hurricane and tornado control device was invented against the backdrop of a series of death and destruction of property attributed to hurricanes and tornados. This device proposes a method in which direction of the weather system can be affected. It consists of audio generators. These generators project sound waves in the direction of a weather system. The waves are designed to disrupt or enhance formation of weather. The projection of the sound waves can also produce rain. The invention of the hurricane and tornado control device was meant to control the weather by affecting the formation of weather systems (www.google.com). This implies that the system can control the amount of rain and consequently reduce the impact of hurricanes and tornadoes. The destructive nature of hurricane and tornadoes has caused the loss of many lives and billions of property. Hurricanes have been given names including Hugo, Andrew and Katrina.
In a bid to reduce the impact of these hurricanes, the department in charge of weather has undertaken various researches with the support of the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration to find solutions to perennial problems associated with hurricanes and tornadoes. The research has been based on systems that can predict the formation of destructive weather systems (www.google.com). The systems are also required to predict the path of these violent weather systems. The formation of hurricanes is easy to predict compared to tornadoes. Hurricanes are formed above warm tropical oceans. Lower atmospheric storm gathers and forms a tropical storm. In some cases, the storm is triggered by water vapor that comes from the surface of the ocean. The result of this formation is a destructive wind that becomes a hurricane. The effect of this hurricane lasts for a long time in water compared to the surface of the land. This explains why hurricanes cause severe flooding by sweeping large amounts of water over a vast area of land.
According to data by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), tornadoes are frequent during summer and spring. A change in the direction of the wind may create violent horizontal rotation on the lower atmosphere (www.google.com). This rotation can be increased when the speed of wind increases and creates a thunderstorm in the higher atmosphere. In some cases, the rising air inside the thunderstorm may cause a vertical inclination of the horizontal air. This may create a violent rotation of air and eventually lead to the formation of tornadoes. Tornadoes have violent speed between 100 miles/hour and 200 miles/hour. Thus, the role of this device in disrupting weather formation cannot be gainsaid.
Part 3: What the patent claims to do
The patent claims to notify everyone about the invention that has been done regarding the control of hurricane and tornadoes. It serves as a reminder that no other person shall, except Andrew Waxmanski, shall purport to be the owner of the patent. In this regard, any permission for use of the device can only be done with the permission of Andrew. The patent serves as an intellectual property right (www.google.com). Any violation of through illegal use of the device is tantamount to violation of the copyright laws. An individual or entity that participates in unlawful use of the device can be charged for violating intellectual property law. The patent also attaches any monetary benefits to the real owner of the invention. The money can be used to enhance the individual’s well being and appreciate his role in providing solutions to the world’s problems.
Part 4: My thoughts about the patent
I believe that the patent serves a critical role in distinguishing the intellectual and creative abilities of people. It accords ownership of the device to the rightful owner. Initiating an invention usually comes with a lot of investment in time and resources. In this regard, the success of an invention should be accompanies by compensation of the inventors through sale of the ideas. For this reason, the patent acts as a mediator between the original ownership and any contrary claim that may arise regarding the ownership of the patent.
My interest in this patent is fueled by the function of the invented device. The effects of hurricanes and tornadoes have been very devastating around the globe. A large of people has become victims of these forms of tragedies. Billions of dollars have been swept into the ocean by violent winds that cause severe destruction. Any attempt to prescribe solutions to these disasters is a matter that concerns many people. This is why I take particular interest in the working of this device and particularly how it can help disrupt, control and enhance weather formation. I believe that this invention can form a premise upon which other inventions can be developed.
