Summary
The first part of this work is a journal entry about the story, I want a wife, by Judy Brady. The narrator defines the type of a wife he wants to his audience, thereby making this story a definition essay. This story is a humorous piece which reveals the responsibilities of the women who played the role of housewives. It is apparent that the roles described in the essay couldn’t have been performed by anyone but women. In my personal life, I dream of a wife that is so understanding and accommodative. Many people suffer out of the wrong choice they make about the woman to marry. In this respect, I do not want a wife that will give me hard time in trying to understand how to treat her. I prefer a wife that takes care of me when sick. She must be ready to empathize and sympathize with me in my worst situation. The narrator admits that his type of wife should be sensitive to his sexual needs and who should not demand attention when he is not in the mood (Brady 202). In addition, she should understand the best way to handle me when we are in the company of friends. In fact, I want a wife who is friendly and can give me the best environment that makes me feel protected. She must embrace me in everything and accept to share with me every new idea that she has. Furthermore, she should be mindful about other family members and take their concerns with inherent attention. She should take good care of the children and ensure that they do not suffer any fate. In addition, I want a wife who is good in cooking and serve the family and friends what they enjoy in the table.

Entry 2: The Money
Summary
Money is something very important in the life of a human being. Everybody needs it and everybody must have it. It does not matter how someone gets it, but the absolute thing is that everybody must have money. Diaz reveals that the desire for money led to many cases of robbery in his neighborhood. Robbers hijacked cars and apartments while kids who left their bicycles unattended could not find them after ten seconds (Diaz 115). I remember the terrible experience with the robbers who broke to our place. In fact, it is not news to me about the robbers, because it has remained a common phenomenon in our residential area. I see many people being attacked by burglars every time. It was dangerous to leave any property behind without care, for the reason that it would be taken within no minute. When the buglers broke into our place, our family was shocked and felt the pain of the encounter. Painfully, there is no authority intervention in such cases. The government agencies seem to be less concerned about the dangers of the citizens. These thieves plan, do and get away with their outrageous acts with nobody to ensure justice to the vulnerable citizens. It is the worst thing I hate in my life. On the other hand, it was very dangerous to report any crime to the police, since when they notice it, they could not allow you live. In this understanding, I am so perplexed and puzzled with the kind of protection the police provides to the citizens.

Author’s main audience are the police and the citizens showing that the police have been doing very little to ensure maximum peace for the public.
