Environmental pollution is one of the biggest threats to the planet earth. It is the environmental pollution that creates imbalances in the environment. But what is the cause of this environmental pollution? Who causes this pollution? The answer is very simple. It is a human. The whole universe is made for the humans, but it is destructed by humans. Land, water, forests, ice, mountains all these places are directly or indirectly affect by humans. Human population is growing at a vast speed. With the growth of population, pollution also increases. So we can say that growth of population causes danger and harm to the environment.
Today we will confine our study to the city whose population is growing with the vast speed. That increased population has a diverse impact on the advancement of any place. It is the increased population of our city that hot climate has become a regular phenomenon. Infrastructure is highly affected due to increased population. Many areas in the city were very green and good from the health point of view. Now with the slow and steady growth of population, these green and open areas have brought under construction to meet the essential requirements of a growing population. With the growth of population, our city has come also faced many economic fluctuations in demand and supply of commodities. Thus, this economic fluctuation creates a bad impact on the whole economy of any city and any country as well. From a social point of view, many customs and traditions are changing with the growth of population. In the past, there was a great value of social issues but now less importance is given as a priority is given to feed and live. The other and most important issue that threats a city is the emission of hazardous gases from the vehicles that are large in number in a city. In short, the growth of population has deteriorated the environment of a city. The water pollution, the land pollution and environment pollution all are caused by high growth of population.
The most important task given is to find the measures how to reduce such hazardous pollution. These pollutions are very harmful to the humans, for the animals and even for the plants as well.
Environmental pollution is a state that is never considered seriously by the administrators of the city. There is always a piece of conflict as many do not consider it serious. Among many administrators, they cannot control population growth, cannot control the infrastructure destruction, waste of water. But the biggest challenge ever is to control and take measures to control environmental pollution. When the population increases, the need for the consumption of water also increases and thus the shortage arises. Along with this problem, the industrial wastes are also thrown out into sea water. So the most important step to reduce the effect of industrial waste on sea water is to work in collaboration with the industry owners and law applying agencies. The industrial owners should be persuaded that these toxic wastes should be disposed of properly. Similarly, the concerned authorities and members are advised to visit the areas that are polluted by these activities and certain law abiding forces should be punished as well. The concerned authorities should also address the population about the measures how to well and properly dispose the wastes from their houses.
The task given to reduce pollution is very challenging but at the same time needs to address the core issues. However, the measures taken should be in accordance with the social, traditional and economic setups. Similarly, to reduce the carbon emission, various steps need to be followed. The administration of the city should address all the people about the seriousness of the matter. They should be told what harmful effects will be in the future on the environment if we do not control now. And for controlling the most efficient way is to make people understand that it is necessary to use their own transport all the time. If they go by walk or use bicycles more than their cars, it will have a double impact. One they will get the habit of saving secondly they will get clean and healthy environment. It means carpooling and the use of public transport can be very helpful in reducing emission of carbon. The vehicles should be tested for the emission of carbon. Random emission testing is also a necessary part to control environmental pollution. All vehicles should be fined that emit carbon. It is the duty of city managers to probe into the matter seriously. Certain rules should be implemented and those not working on these rules should be punished. One of the factors in environmental pollution and emission of carbon is the proper construction of roads. This factor is considered negligible. When the roads are properly constructed they can avoid many situations like over speeding, accidents. Over speeding also results in an emission of carbon. So properly and well planned roads have sign boards, speed breakers and thus avoiding many hazardous situations.
So we can say that decision making is an important tool in controlling environmental issues, and if well and planned decisions are taken it can create good results between the decision makers and those upon whom the decisions are imposed.
