Although the economy and the future of America is dependent on the set of professionals passing out as graduates each year, the situation is alarming as many drop-out as graduates and many more fail at the school level putting the current American Education system in crisis. This flawed education system poses a threat to the bright future for the graduates in America. I am not convinced to know how American schools top in educational brilliance with such a number of failures. In my opinion every child deserves the best teacher, and our society must celebrate the educators and their teaching efforts.

The No Child Left Behind (NLCB) Act, 2002, was legalized for the American children to bring equity in education. All over United States, students are assigned to public schools depending upon their geographical location leaving them with few or no options. This procedure compels the kids to attend the frequently failing schools. I would argue that every child must be assigned to a good school equipped with state-of-the-art learning facilities. The role of teachers and other professional educators requires that they do not discriminate against any student because of the student’s ethnic background (Gollnick, Chinn, 2006). As teachers play a pivotal role in molding the children, I presume that a teacher not only requires being unbiased, but also value their responsibilities towards a child’s success and failure.
There are huge differences in the teaching system across states making transfers within schools less viable. Each school has their own standards and the academic results in these schools are not just determined by test results, but also by factors like neatness, politeness, and obedience to authority. This practice puts the child’s future in potential danger. I strongly feel that this system can improve if all these negative aspects are dealt aptly in par with a global education to bring back American reputation as the world class leader in education system.
