Business processes have been automated and will be the source of competitive edge. Organizations have adopted the use of information systems to improve business processes and brig with it the competitive edge that will help organizations go above the competition in a competitive world. Wal-Mart wire is an information system that has been adopted in Wal-Mart. It is a system that will enable employees to be connected to the organizations. Wal-Mart Wire has components that enables business processes to be done and enabled in a manner that brings with it efficiency and reliability in business operations.
Characteristics of the Users of the System
The staff who use the system are those who work in Wal-Mart stores. Employees find their data and can access the data that they want from the system. The users of Wal-Mart are those whose operations involve the use of computer systems. The users will have knowledge on computer use. They are the users who has internet access from their places of work. It is evident that the users of Wal-Mart Wire will be required to access the wire to enable them to process information that they would like to have a look at.
Another characteristics of the users of Wal-Mart Wire system is that the users will be required to have common data and information which have been stored in the database within the system. It is the common data that will be required to be accessed and will be the main source of sharing the data. There should be information and data that will give the users the ability to access the system component.
The users should also be able to have different roles that will be used to categorize the system. Wal-Mart Wire will be accessed basing on the role of employees. It will mean that different employees will have different parts of the wire that they are able to access. It is one of the controls that has been enhanced and enabled in the system so that there is easy control of the system. The control of the system will be achieved through the use of the wire. The system is used to manage the business processes that are done in the company. They are not able to delete their profiles. The users can have different views of the data ranging from the view with a variety of information and stored data.
The users are also able to access the parts where they are able to store their work-related information. The wire is able to store the data of the staff. After the users are through with the backlog of what they have been doing, they will be able to store the data in the system and have the necessary data and information in the system.
One of the system function is Personal Data. The personal data information is used to store all information about the given employee. The employee is able to work on the data and have access to the necessary information on the system. They are able to make all amendments on the system. The users will also have the ability to update their personal data and information and that they are able to be able to get access to a wide range of data in the organization.

One impact of Wal-Mart Wire systems is that it enables the staff members to be able to manage their data. It is one of the sources of data mining procedures that the company can have. It is important to understand the data that employees have. With the use of Wal-Mart Wire, Wal-Mart stores is able to get up-to data information from the members. They will be able to ensure that they have all the necessary information regarding the data in the system. ‘
The system will also bring sharing of data between the staff members and the management. The sharing will enable information transfer between the different departments. The staff members will be able have access to data which is stored in the database. Information that is stored can also be shared with the rest of the Wal-Mart employees.

Information systems have made data access and system use an important aspect of an organization. With the use of information systems, users have been able to access the data that would otherwise be hard to gain access. The use of information systems has been the center of interest has enabled organizations to have different views of the data. Above all, organizations have not competitive advantage regarding the data that they have in the organization.
