The image is a piece of a picture paint of a storey building and the area sounding, also referred to as the ‘artistic Point’. The artist of this picture makes the use of shadowing techniques by utilizing the use of light in the entire image to express a change of landscape (Stevens et al., 19). The use of different colors that diminishes in parts from all over the building and the surrounding create the main view point. The artist uses dark colors engulfed with a series of bright spot patterns of light all over the surrounding to create a cool, pleasant feeling. The sequence of light is widely spread from the building top towards the ground and the whole environment portrays a beautiful scene of a night image view. The artist further details the order of immediate surroundings in a unique way and organization to create a texture of the walls of the buildings. The organization of the distance from one building to another and the evenly spread spot lights further create a very naturalistic and peaceful scene.
Medium
The paint image of the building and the surrounding presents a real captured picture. The colors of the image stay bright for long period of time. However, the image may darken with time due to the linseed oil of the paint and moist atmosphere in the real environment. The surface used by the artist for the image is flexible and can be customized to provide a unique piece of art. It also provides a stiff and smooth area to work on with color painting because it discourages the sacking of colors in to the surface during painting. I believe the artist did appropriately choose these products to produce a true color surface.
The paint represents a clear realistic picture. The view is based on the front of the artist. Realistic picture defines an accurate description of an object or something that is observable. The artist image shows the beautiful modern site of a city building at night.
Elements of design
Within the image, various formal principles and elements of design can be seen. The light is evenly used to create shadows that draw the focus area of the environment. The actual light also signifies the real value of the scene. The light origin interprets the effectiveness of the picture value (Wiesner et al., 23). Appropriate use of light by the artist makes it became an actual character in the entire image. The dark light density is in a three dimensional form and indicates how it is utilized to define the shape of the image in a night time background.
Personal
I chose this image because of the intensity of the spread colors that attributes to a realistic picture of an object. The image creates lovely and cool feeling in me. This is because it presents a beautiful piece of a clear background of a real building image contrast. The artists’ effort to display the real look of a night image of a building is amazing. Furthermore, the artists’ choice and organization of the image portrays an accurate actual view of the building within the exact time period. This makes me feel the real touch and reflections of how a certain area in the city looks like during the night. The image can help me confidently explains and tell a story to individuals that have never had the opportunity to see such environment.
