When a person is asked about what they know about a school, may it be primary or tertiary level, they would easily define a school through their color, mascot, team name, and even their location. Some would even know a school if the school has a rivalry with another school or if it is considered an Ivy League class institution. However, there are tendencies and instances wherein people would know if a person came from a specific university through their uniform. Sometimes people, especially young students, would complain about the school uniform policies as it could be considered a traditional or an old school custom that must be replaced as the modern period now offers a variety of fashionable clothing that would not hamper learning. Some schools would even give out uniforms for free, which would be beneficial for students and parents as they would not spend a dime in purchasing non-school sanctioned uniforms. While many students would find it boring, having school uniforms would no longer have themselves competing against each other as to who has the best signature look or new clothing each day. They would no longer keep on competing as they would all look the same and their uniforms would put them on top of the rest as it would also reflect the school they represent, and in some cases, their image.

Eventually, once they manage this fact, students can easily compete without worrying of tarnishing their school’s reputation and still maintain their personal image.
