Question One
The photograph was taken when I was in Hong Kong. I had visited Hong Kong with my father. I was so excited to visit this location, and I wish that each and every day I would go back to Hong Kong. This was approximately 15 years ago. During the visit, I came across my stepbrother who I met while in a restaurant, and I never knew that I had one. In memory of this, we had to take a photograph. This special photograph included three people; my father, my stepbrother, and I. It was a gracious moment, which I recall every moment I stare at this beautiful photograph. The posture of this photograph demonstrates an excellent intimacy level among us.
During this time, I felt as if I was in a new world where there are new people caring for me. The serene environment at Hong Kong gave me a peace of mind to relax and know that I have a brother who really cares for me. The intimacy level expressed during our interaction time indicates clearly that Ronald is caring person and a real brother to me. I always feel lonely when I find that I do not have Ronald on my side.
Meeting Ronald in a restaurant in Hong Kong was so exciting and fascinating. I never knew I had a caring brother like Ronald. I can never stop saying thanks to my father who introduced me to Ronald, in the restaurant. I presume that my father had plans I meet Ronald though he had not told me of a stepbrother. Looking at Ronald, he was a real brother since his facial appearance, which resembled my father. This was a moment in my life that I keep on recalling whenever I come across this photograph.
Question Two
Prior to discovering that Ronald was my brother, we were playing game boy in the restaurant. As such, we would chase each other in the restaurant. During the process of playing the game, I could not tell that Ronald was my brother. I only came to realize that later when my father introduced me to him as a brother. Ronald on his side was also happy and hospitable to me, and we interacted as people who had known each for a long duration of time. Our intimacy level developed significantly to an extent that until now will communicate. Our communication is characterized of love, idea sharing, caring, protection, and guidance at all times.
Since the introduction and discovery of Ronald as my brother, we engaged in the habits of playing basketball and video games continuously. Further, we shared a lot in life, and had lengthy chats on games, school, and good, as well as bad friends. I recall once we were playing basketball and in the process, I had an ankle twist, which emerged because of a collision with another defender. I was seriously injured such that I had to be taken to hospital. As they say, ‘blood is thicker than water’, Ronald was at forefront to take me to the hospital. This was really heart touching since Ronald had to support me for over 100 stair steps before I could gain an access to the doctors door, in the hospital. At this moment, I realized that Ronald was actually my real brother. This event occurred approximately 8 years ago.
Question Three
Parents are mysterious. My father is a perfect example of how parents could be mysterious in our society. All the time I never knew that I had a brother until one day when my father broke the news to me by introducing me to my stepbrother. I was somehow perplexed, but I had to take the news due to the excitement, which was present in the environment where this event occurred.
One may actually grow and live without knowing anything concerning a stepbrother or stepsister. Such circumstances and events occur continuously in our social environment. I had grown up thinking that I am the only heir of my father. Little did I know that I had a caring and loving brother who I had to meet in Hong Kong? While planning for this visit, my father never mentioned anything like I would meet a brother in this new environment. All I remember was that my father focused on ensuring that I enjoyed the visit to Hong Kong.
I was not the only one in this darkness, but also my loving and caring mother was in the same situation. This is because my father had not yet told her that he had a son somewhere else in the universe. I was bolder in absorbing the shock than my mother when she was told the same by father. Actually, my father had to inform her since he knew that I would break the news to my mother when we get back home. This was a great surprise to me and my mother. I believe that my father was also surprised on how we took the situation positively and accepted it.
