Executive Summary/ Abstract
SoCal-Care is an organization which was formed in the year 2011 by a group of twenty medical students from the Texas Medical School. The main aim of this group was to help the people in the society, especially women, and small children, by giving them assistance to attain medical care. The group of students came together due to the various medical problems that women and children faced in various parts of the world. The group of students sets their mission to assist the various women in the African war-tone zones, where various cases of human torture and women abuse are highly reported. The organization was made of up of primary students from the senior school of medicine, who had specialized in various areas of the medical field, ranging from the surgeon department, the mothers and children department, among other areas. The main aim of this project was to address the problem of Ureaplasmaurealyticum, a problem which mostly faces women.
Ureaplasmaurealyticum is an infection mostly found in the genitals for the people who are sexually active. It is an infection which mostly affects those people who are exposed to the unprotected sex. The bacterium is usually harmless and very asymptomatic in the initial stages of the infection (Whitespar 3).The sickness can be passed from one partner to the other through sexual intercourse. The sickness has various symptoms which include the continuous ache and abdominal pain, an irritating and burning pain when passing out urines as well as fatigue (Cassell et al., pp. 3-4). The infection is usually associated with infections such as sterile pyuria, non-specific urethritis (NSU), and Prostatitis, which infects the urinary glands triggering constant urination. The disease is also associated with chorioamnionitis, premature births, stillbirths, infertility as well as the destruction of the epididymis, urethra, and the fallopian tubes. In severe conditions, the disease is also capable of causing bronchopulmonary dysplasia, meningitis, and also pneumonia (Public Health Agency of Canada, par 4).
The SoCal-Care organization, therefore, sought to create awareness for the women and small children, especially, girls in the various African war-torn zones, on the importance of seeking medical care. The reason why the group targeted the African regions is due to the various cases of women and children rape cases and the mistreatments that women and girls undergo in the hands of the various people in the places which are faced by war.The organization seeks to attain various objectives by the termination of the project. The group had set out various objectives which included the creation of awareness of the ureaplasma infection to women in Africa. The team also wanted to provide basic amenities and medical checkup to the women and the girls in the region. Provision of better clothing, as well as medical facilities, was also a major objective of the organization. In the interior areas where the group could not penetrate into due to the risks of terror groups, the organization sought the help of the leading government forces to go to the places.
The organization also wanted to create an international platform which would encourage and also create the basic pathway for the problems of these people to be addressed. The organization also wanted to seek help from the rest of the world organizations such as W.H.O and other agencies such as the refugee organizations. The organization lastly wanted to create a medical facility which would give medical attention to the people as well as check their health status when necessary. The organization had a good plan for the basic provision of the medical help as much as it could. The group of twenty students had organized for an air traveling mission to the areas of Central Africa, especially the country of DRC Congo, where there are high cases of women discrimination and mistreatments. The students had been able to secure a lot of financial support from the various activities it had been able to undertake inTexas and the rest of the American Continent.
The journey to Central Africa was the biggest challenge that the group had undertaken, and so it had the chance to deliver the medical assistance as well as creating the awareness for the disease. The group, upon arrival in DRC Congo capital city, it would be booked into one of the most luxurious hotels, known as the Kingsville Hotel. Later, the group would then venture into the process of looking for the various groups of women and children with the help of the local leaders such as sub-chiefs, and even the local administrators. The organization would be receiving a total of $15,000 from the United States University Fund. The organization would be providing the amount of money to the students for the great work they have been able to offer and even do, both at home and other countries. Although the amount of money might be small, it is worth the process for creating the awareness and awakening the masses for action. The organization funds any university projects which brings change and positive outcome to the society.
Introduction
The project seeks to create awareness to the various groups of women and children in the central Africa, which is a war tone zone in the African Continent. The project seeks to create the awareness of the Ureaplasmaurealyticum infection to as many people as possible. The group of students wanted to create awareness, to the marginalized groups of women and children, who have been rapes and even forced into sexual activities which they cannot pull themselves out. The infection is very dangerous because it is capable of causing complications to mothers during pregnancy (Peerayeh et al., pp2-3)
The project seeks to create awareness, which would help in the general process of treating and also offering medical assistance to the various groups of women and children. Eradication of the sickness of the people is also another major objective of the organization. The creation of a medical facility which would aid the people to treat and even cure the sickness is also a major strategy. The organization is made up of highly qualified persons, who have dedicated their lives to the welfare of the society. The organization makes up a group of twenty, qualified medical students, either in their finish years or doing their masters in the institution. The organization seeks to develop and even expand the awareness to the society so as to create a healthy nation.
The organization has been able to work with various organizations and also as a single organization to create awareness and also provide medical assistance to various groups of people in the world. The organization has been able to achieve various aspects, especially in the society based projects such as the creation of mobile clinics as well as the creation of awareness for the society, so as to attain a balanced society. All the members of the organization are medical; students, who have had a prior medical practice and who are willing to help the society achieve its goals and objectives.
The organization needs to be funded for various reasons. The organization has been able to achieve a lot and has been on the frontline, fighting for the welfare of the people, both locally and internationally. The project that the organization wants to undertake is far beyond its financial capacities, and it is a project which is meant to help millions of women and children forgotten in the war-torn countries. The project aims at bringing light as well as a sense of life to these people, through the provision of s basic medical care as well as a sense of belonging. The organizational funding would be used to expand the activities of the organization by creating a platform to address the problems which face the society. The funding would also be used to expand the organizational networking in various parts of the world to enhance quick and better delivery of the services.
The organization is made up of twenty students who are all medical students either in their final year of the basic education and the masters’ students. The organization is made up of professionals who are focused, and whose main aim is to provide quality medical services and attention to all the society members. The mission of the organization is to provide quality medical assistance to the people and create awareness to the society concerning the people’s health as well as their well-being. The main goal of the organization is to create a society which thrives on good health and prosperity.
Problem Statement
Ureaplasmaurealyticum is an infection mostly found in the genitals for the people who are sexually active. It is an infection which mostly affects those people who are exposed to the unprotected sex. The bacterium is usually harmless and very asymptomatic in the initial stages of the infection (Waites par 3). The sickness mainly affects the reproductive organza of both men and women. It is a sickness whose effects are beyond the normal physical characteristics. The infection causes other sicknesses such as meningitis as well as other related sicknesses (Ahmadi et al., p 2).
The problem can be solved using various methods. The most important mission is to create awareness of the disease to the various authorities and the target groups. The organization is also mandated with the task of creating equitable and affordable medical facilities, in which the sickness can be screened and identified early on time. The application of the most appropriate medical procedures in the whole process of treating the sickness is very important. Good medical procedures and medical applications should be used to eradicate the sickness. The use of preventive devices such as condoms during sexual activities is important for the eradication of the disease. Proper hygiene is also encouraged to make sure the bacteria do not spread all over the body, especially in the genital areas (Waites, par 3).
Figure1: Personal Hygiene advocacy (Velleman 34)
The project has a lot of impact on the lives of people, especially the women and children who are left in the war tone zones. The project aims at enhancing the lives of such people by promoting the development and the enhancement of a better living style. The organization seeks to advancement the lives of the people via the application of the best medical procedures.
The project aims the females, both women, and children, especially girls of all ages in the war-torn central Africa. The project does not select the audience regarding years because all the females are subject to the same level of cruelty and animosity among the other society members. The organization seeks to expand and even teach the women about the importance of their health. The organization primarily focuses on the creation of awareness of the Ureaplasma infection, its characteristics, its means of transmission as well as the ways through which it can be eradicated. The topic is very important to the people because it makes them aware of the sickness, as well as the symptoms and the side effects of the same (Figure 1). The project also gives the people the chance to educate others s on the importance of good health, especially in an area where rapes are very rampant, and as it is known, rapists mostly do not use any protective gear, while doing sex.
Goals and objectives
There are various goals and objectives which the organization has set to achieve. Some of the set goals and achievements include the liberation of all women and children held captive by the warlords. The creation of the awareness for the disease as well as offering treatment for the sick is another objective of the organization. The organization also seeks to establish a firm foundation for the creation of the awareness for other diseases such as HIV and Aids as well as pregnancy-related complications and sicknesses.

Methods and design
The project uses various methods in tackling the whole process. The first and the most important aspect is the creation of a system which keeps information. The process of information collection is also very important for the whole system. If there is no any form of information from the government records, the organization will employ the field study and research so as to obtain the required information.
There would be a sampling of the population to establish which the best method of creating a treatment procedure. The population would be sampled into groups of the pregnant women, the sick and the old, the young and the non-pregnant, those who have ever been assaulted and those who were never, among others. The organization needs a lot of resources so as to complete the set tasks. The most important resource is the capital which is in money form. Money is important because it is used to purchase all the needed materials for the job as well as the provision of the most important basic needs for the organizational team.
The organization also requires manpower and even vehicles which are to be sued for the collection of information in and around the areas of study. The provision of the manpower is to be followed by the provision of a basic place to sleep. The team also needs basic food as well as other amenities so as to function well. The team also requires various test kits as well as medicine for the whole process.
Figure 3: EMS Ambulance in Action (Buswell et al. 2)
The task force was to be divided into four major groups. Each group is to be given a specific task which should be completed within the set period. The first group of five people is to mobilize the people, show them where to seat and make sure that all the organizational plans are set straight. The second group is mandated with the task of speaking to the people, creating awareness and showing them the importance of making sure they are healthy.
The third group is mandated with the task of taking the samples of both vaginal and blood fluids and subjecting them to testing so as to verify their sickness. The last group is mandated with the task of creating the last organizational step, which is the administration of the medicine as well as the provision of drugs to the sick and the ones with observable symptoms.
For the project to be completed, there are various components which should be used as well as put into play so as to enhance set goals and objectives. The organization is set to play the major role in the process of achieving its set goals. This includes the enactment of any policy which ensures that there is the creation of a competitive and transparent system of offering the services (Figure 2). The organization should ensure that there are clear information and data which is vital for the generation of outcome for the whole organization. The staff and the people involved in any organizational activities should be qualified and should pose all the characteristics required for the job. The organization is one of the best in the provision of services which are related o the medical field. The organization also undertakes the risks of organizing rallies which inform the people as well as creating a platform to address all the problems facing the society.
Evaluation
The evaluation of the project should take into consideration various factors. The project should be measured through the turn out of the people in the campaign for the creation of the awareness. The success of the project should also is measured by the number of workers or the staff members who are involved in the whole process of ensuring that there is. The number of people and organizations both governmental and non-governmental which turn out to sponsor the project should be used as a measure of the success of the project. After the creation of the awareness, the number of people who are treated after being diagnosed with the disease or even symptoms should be regarded as a success. In general, any achievement which falls under the set goals and objectives is an achievement for the organization.
The success of the project is to be determined by the external officers who form part of the executive teams. The assessing officer is a professor in the school where the students all learn. Other two officers also assist the professor from the national department of the national health in the host country, DRC Congo. The team is represented by qualified people, who are all qualified in the medical field, and whose work has been credited and qualified (Figure 4). The team members are all qualified in the medical field, and their credibility is beyond questioning. It is a team of people whose ambition is based on the desire to deliver and even cure those diseases which terrorize the society.
Project management
The management of the project is very important so as to ensure its durability as well as the provision of quality service. The management of the project is run the Texas Medical School as well as patrons who are the key proponents in the organizational activities. All the patrons and the management teams in the organization are either qualified practicing doctors or even professors teaching in various universities or even colleges. The management and the assessment of the organization as well as its activities are based on the basic understanding of the rules and regulations of the medical schools and fields.
