Business communications toward upper management
It is important to develop effective communication with the upper management in any organization. Upper managers are the core decision makers of any organization. The information that these people use come either directly or indirectly from the junior staff. Junior staffs therefore need to provide efficient and reliable information to the upper management with regard to specific tasks or processes.
The management comes over different kinds of information form many departments. These reports can be many in number that a lot of time would be needed to go through all of them. It is therefore necessary to provide them with easy to read and clear reports that are direct to the point, while avoiding unnecessary word usage that will make the information bulky. Information need to be very relevant and any ambiguity should not be available in the same.
The presentation style matters a lot. Graphical information tends to be easier to understand than those presented in word or non graphical format. The need to have a proper presentation style is driven by the need for the upper management to quickly get a clear picture of what is contained in the data presented to them and therefore make well informed decisions on basing on the same.
Upper management personnel should on the hand have positive ergonomic attitude towards work and other employees. The same people should be diligent in implementation of policies and enforcement of standards of operations in the environment. Attention should be given employees in order to motivate them to work harder and develop positive ergonomic attitude.
