Definition
Management is the organizing and co coordinating of the actions of an enterprise in agreement with definite policies along with attainment of distinct objectives. Management is frequently incorporated as an issue of production together with money, machines and materials. The duty of management is marketing and innovation. An assistance manager is an employee of an involvement with a few levels of managerial or administrative authority, who is secondary to plus works with a single or additional senior –rank managers.
Qualities and Skills of a good Assistance Manager
The assistance Manager is frequently the front person intended for the rest of the organization team and works with the other employees. A good assistance manager should have excellent communication skills, both by writing and verbally. The assistance manager should be able to give every employee distinct goals as well as responsibilities. Good assistance manager should have leadership aptitude by willing to work with the employees to give a hand in doing a job; they should not ask or request employees to perform what they are not willing to do themselves. Being a good assistance manager should not perform duties to perfection but should pay attention to details, a leader who inspects the work while performing the job is showing an example of a good attention to detail. A good assistance manager should be able to take initiative, by creation of decisions and getting everything in the organization done without being supervised by his/her manager.
A good assistance manager should ensure that recruiting and training is his /her priority, by finding and interviewing new employees. Good assistance manager should dress in a standard way; the dressing of assistance manager depends on his position of employment and should set standards for other employees. A good assistance manager should be able to pay attention to his/her surroundings, by taking notice to the work surroundings and determining if it is performing at a high level .Assistance manager should work as hard as the other employees as it will motivate them work more and better.
Good practice in formal meetings, projects and personal scheduling is whereby the assistance managers sets the date of the meeting and it should favor all the employees to ensure that everyone is available. The assistance manager should ensure that the meeting day has been communicated to all members to avoid absence and to create awareness and togetherness. Good practice is demonstrated whereby the assistance manager is always punctual and being a good example to others, should set the topic of the meeting and ensure it is communicated to everyone to be aware of what the meeting is about. Good practice is demonstrated by indicating the materials required and the location of the meeting should also indicate time of the meeting while sending the message to the employees. He/she should ensure that the message is sent by means available to everyone to avoid leaving any one out e.g. by use of internet, mails. She/he should send the information on time to avoid confusion and to give members time to prepare. Good practice is demonstrated when the assistance manager does the right thing in the right place at the right time and to the right people. Assistance Manager should mostly consider practicing more on what is important and urgent.
Stakeholders
It’s an individual, group or association that has straight or not direct stake in an association because it is able to have an effect on or be changed by the organization’s actions, objectives and policies.
Directors, managers and employees are considered as stakeholders of the business since they contain their own benefits in the business and have power to influence business decisions. The directors and managers interest are salary, status, job satisfaction and share options, and they influence the business activities by making decisions and having all and thorough information concerning the business so they influence the operation of the organization efficiently and effectively. The employees’ interest is to receive salaries and wages, having a job satisfaction, job security and motivation. Employees contain the power to control the organization by industrial action, staff turnover and service quality. Every organization or businesses need employees for it to gain its profits.
When managers are detained accountable for their actions by the stakeholders the assistance manager should support the manager by listening to the complaints before they are sent to the manager, agree to complain that the stakeholders have and then explain to them properly why such an action happened. Then assistance manager should give the solutions and ensure that the shareholders are comfortable and satisfied, but incase the assistance is unable to solve or if the stakeholders are unsatisfied then he/she should then seek help from the manager. The assistance manage should plan on duties to be done and facilities to be used in organization. He/she should advice the shareholders, employees on the issues regarding the performance of the organization
