Organizational Overview
Working as a cargo operator can be considered as a hectic and challenging job. However, it becomes easy when working with a cohesive team under a conducive environment (Morrell, 2011). XYZ is a cargo enterprise that strives and is dedicated to providing high-quality services to all clients. The company is situated in Las Vegas to help in offering services to the clients. The company has a large customer base due to its reliability and benefits that result from providing local and international express services. It is mostly used by business enterprises to transport their goods from one market to another to globalize their industry.
Mission
The primary mission is to see that the cargo is handled professionally, and investors, staffs and the community enjoy and benefit from its services. It has a code of ethics that provides a guideline on how the cargo operators should behave when handling cargo loads and dealing with customers (Morrell, 2011). The XYZ Company provides a safe working environment that ensures that the employees’ affairs are prioritized.
Airbus A-380
Airbus A-380 is termed as the largest passenger jet across the globe whose invention led to the redesigning of airports to accommodate it. The aircraft is the best choice since it can carry a large number of passengers and cargos compared to other commercial airlines. It is economical since it consumes less fuel and generates minimal noise compared to others. It is designed to cater for the modern comfort, based on its three-class configuration.
Boeing 747-8 vs. Airbus A380
They are considered as the newest and largest passenger and cargo planes across the globe. An analysis was conducted based on their features to understand the similarities and differences between them.
Capacity
Both aircrafts offer a three-class configuration system. Boeing carries 467 passengers while Airbus carries 525 passengers thus, making Airbus the largest carrier based on the size holding (Kemp, 2013).
Length
Boeing is 76 meters long while Airbus is 72.72 meters (Kemp, 2013). Therefore, Boeing is 3.28 meters longer than its competitor is. Boeing is thus the longest commercial aircraft based on its length.
Internal cabin length
The length of Boeing is 6.1 meters while the internal cabin length of Airbus is 6.54 meters (Burns, 2007). Therefore, both have almost the same length, but Airbus is better than Boeing in that it can carry 51 more people.
Wingspan
The wing length of Boeing is 68.5 meters while that of its competitor is 79.75 meters (Burns, 2007). Boeing’s new design is capable of improving the performance as well as reducing the noise levels. On the other hand, Airbus’ model has a unique wing design, which uses aluminum alloys for fuselage purposes. It has composite materials to reduce the aircraft’ weight at the center wing box. It also has capabilities that help it to lower the amount of noise produced. Additionally, both are efficient based on the fuel consumption.
Conclusion
Operating a cargo requires a conducive environment as well as teamwork collaborations to be less challenging. The XYZ Company provides local and international express services among the people around Las Vegas. The primary mission is to see that the cargo is handled professionally, and investors, staffs and the community enjoy and benefit from its services. Boeing 747-8 and Airbus A380 are considered as the world’s largest cargo planes today. They have unique features such as reduced noise, large capacity, and low fuel consumption among others.
