The Cold War was an ongoing state of political disagreement, military nervousness, and financial competition continued after WWII .The Cold War extended from Europe and become an international ideological divergence between democracy and communalism.
At the time, Germany had already stopped its strategy of total power. All the western powers had a combined effort with the Eastern powers. England was overwhelmed while France had been plainly scorched to the ground, and lots of small country had experienced financial failure. East Russia was also undergoing lots of losses from the ineffective blockade of the Nazi's but they were better off compared to Europe. They already had a functioning military and a stable economy. In the late 50's all through early 60's the Soviet amalgamation began to spread the Lenin ideological by moving to the Westward position (Marsh, G. (2004). In 1948, United States began financially supporting the reconstruction of European infrastructure in a scheme known as Marshall Plan.
There were lots of things that took place during the entire duration of the Cold War. The major measures that brought about the nervousness were the overseas aid rules. These new policies separated Europe from the superpowers. After the separation, various accord organizations and coalitions stated forming up once more for instance; NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization).
All through the Cold War, relations between the west and Soviet Union interchanged between times of pressure and disaster and periods of minimized nervousness and limited collaboration. Although the two superpowers did not connect with each other militarily, they were occasionally held up in serious political crisis that could become warfare. An exemplar was the Soviet obstruction on Western Berlin (Marsh, G. (2004). A supply route to western Berlin was blocked by the Russian. People in the metropolitan were in a fix, a large number starved and other died due to lack of supplies. The United States had to intervene.
The United States battled two main fights against the communists. Their initial war was over Korea. North Korea a communistic protectorate had tried to extend their thoughts through aggressive takeover (Marsh, 2004). The United States supported and funded South Korea until they were in a position to defeat their assailants. The second war was in Vietnam. Just like the initial fight, Vietnam was trying to fight with South Vietnam the US intervened and sent huge man power where they lost various solders and were unsuccessful.
All those years that USA and Russia battled for power they had already stored huge hoard of nuclear weapons. The use of nuclear weapons would put the entire world in dangerous position.
In November 1991 the communistic administration was destroyed in Berlin, and the alienated metropolis was brought back together. It was clear that this was the last sign of the fall of communism in Europe.
