Concealed gun carry is whereby people carry firearms that cannot be seen. This means that the people make sure that nobody is able to notice that they are carrying fire arms. There are many states whereby carrying of concealed fire arms has been legalized and therefore people are allowed to carry concealed fire arms. This means that people can get licenses if they wish to own a concealed fire arm. However, some countries do not require licensing for one to hold a fire arm. On the other hand, there are states whereby the carrying of fire arms has been made illegal. In all these states, there are arguments in support and against legalizing the carrying of concealed fire arms.
It is argued that carrying of concealed firearms should be legalized to allow people to protect themselves. In insecure states, one is able to protect him/herself from criminals by carrying the fire arm. People transporting expensive items ensure the security of the items they carry through the use of the firearms. In addition, the need for the policemen is reduced and their responsibilities reduce if people are able to provide themselves with the security they need using the concealed fire arm.
However, there are many arguments against legalizing the carrying of the concealed fire arm. In the first place, with terrorism activities, legalizing firearms can hinder the process of fighting terrorism activities. In the second place, licensing the concealed fire arms has encouraged other people to carry the arms since it is usually difficult to determine whether an individual has a license or not. The carrying of concealed fire arms has also made the work of the policemen more difficult. This is due to the fact that some people have attacked the policemen in some instances and this has made the policemen to sometimes ignore response to criminal activities in fear of their security.
Generally, even though the legalizing of carrying of concealed fire arms has been supported by many people, there are many negative impacts of the issue. Criminal activities related to fire arms have increased. Therefore the issue should be carefully addressed to ensure that whatever is supported leads to a decline in the criminal activities in the United States.
