Essay On Conflict Management

A conflict is a scuffle between two people/parties who do not have common grounds on how to meet their needs. In this essay, we explore a conflict between characters in I Live With Models and more importantly how they find common grounds to resolve their differences. The Sitcom centers on Tommy, who is signed in by Luke as a hand model.
Tommy is excited to stop working at a coffee shop when Luke offers him a salary of $1000 and a rent-free apartment. Luke is a good agent and is determined to treat his models well. He takes them to fancy restaurants for dinner quite often. On one of the dinner parties, Tommy runs into one of Luke’s competitors and takes his card with a promise to call him later. The other models confront Tommy and in the process, they inform him that Luke will fire him. The following day, Luke takes Tommy to lunch. Tommy seems scared because he thinks Luke knows about his conversation with another agent judging from the mind games played by Luke. Finally, Tommy admits to having discussed with another agent and apologizes with a promise of not leaving the agency thereby solving the conflict.
In the middle of the first episode, Tommy enters into Scarlet’s bathroom and finds the water quite refreshing. Using Scarlet’s towel, Tommy takes a shower. Scarlet walks in on Tommy and screams at him for using her towel without her consent. Tommy, Scarlet and Hanna have a sit down to discuss it. In resolving this conflict, Tommy agrees to replace Scarlet’s towel and take them out to Venice for an ‘eraser’ (which is a special type alcohol that wipes out memories of bad events).
