- Heading I: Control Processes and Systems
Based on the book, “Management principles” by Schermerhorn describes the critical aspects of management in business. The book clearly highlights suitable factors that managers should use within organizations in order to impact or influence effective changes. According to the book, it is evident that management principles are major guidelines that influence guidelines and decisions of managers. In order for an organization to managers ought to plan, control, and organize operations of plain elements of machines, people, money, and markets. This is the major approach that will give managers the ability to attain objectives of their organizations (Schermerhorn 231).
Management is a key concept because it is the best way to understand how Control Processes and Systems work. Another key concept is Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCDA) because they are always on the production whenever Control processes and systems are in function. The principal purpose of the key concepts is to ensure that technological and non-technological procedures have been attained. Control processes and systems are considerable in providing various solutions for broad range solutions within organizations (Schermerhorn 123).
- Heading II: Article - “Process Control Systems (PCS)” by Martin Murray
The article, “process Control Systems (PCS)” by Martin Murray describes the impact of process control systems. According the author, PCS are pieces of apparatus along the production line that is used to control data acquisition. The PCS is a relatively simple object that has a sensor that receives an input and a controller that process input and a receiver that processes the output. This type of technology has influenced considerable growth in the current world. The PCS transmits data through a process that is later processed in the systems. For instance, the authors states that the PCS device can be used to communicate with ERP (enterprise resource planning through software known as manufacturing execution systems (MES) (Murray n.p).
This article is related to the topic because it represents technology and how information is processed. The purpose of Control processes and systems is to offer solutions to organizations. Similarly, the report says that PCS is a device that is used to process data. The role of Control processes and systems is to facilitate human responsibilities. It ensures a precise delivery of information from one system to the other. PCS device transforms information and processes it and delivers it to another system so that users can understand. This is how Control processes and systems such as PCS work or function. Through management, PCS can effectively enhance change within the organization such as the provision of security surveillance cameras (Murray n.p).
- Heading III: Significance of the topic
This topic is important to managers in different approaches. Based on numerous changes influenced by technology, it has been noted that management within organizations has been affected. This approach has negatively impacted poor performance and a drop in the annual revenues. Control processes and systems are essential to managers because it will promote their roles and responsibility within organizations.
The implementation of Control processes and systems will facilitate management in more than a few ways. Managers will be able to access issues within and outside the organizations such as processing information without any difficulties (Schermerhorn 132). The fundamental concepts of Control processes and systems can influence change within organizations. For instance, client satisfaction within a business can be attained through Control processes and systems. This is a significant approach because it information is processed without any delays. Personally, I believe that Control processes and systems are essential in the management of business. This a considerable approach because it facilitates the roles and responsibilities of managers (Murray n.p).
The concepts of management, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCDA) within an organization empower managers by giving them considerable ideas on how to run a business. The concepts discussed in this paper are suitable because they positively impact the growth and development of organizations in a positive way. However, it is important for managers to play their role in managing these concepts in order to influence the change that is required (Schermerhorn 123).
