The Beatles – one of the greatest bands ever
There are things in life you can never be bored doing. It is like watching fire burning, water flowing or shining starry skies. No matter how many times you are repeating those actions you will always eager to experience them once more. This is exactly the feeling you get discovering The Beatles for the first time. For many of people they haven’t just become idols but penetrated in every part of the heart touching the deepest sides of everybody’s soul. However, the question still remains undecided: if the Beatles can still be the greatest band ever or not? It is hard to determine which decision is the right one and how to choose the best option among proposed. Moreover, you will always chance consequences especially when there is conflicting information (Caldwell& Gross, 2007). The best way is to verify the data, to consider all its pros and cons and then to make an appropriate decision.
First of all, the Beatles were so to say innovators of the new era of music. These Liverpool lads really created something special that didn’t exist before and hasn’t since. They were like four Prometheus who brought and captured the whole world with that glowing fire. It wasn’t just their music which was amazing for it’s time and continued to exist through ages. There should be some other magnetic power hidden in every new piece of writing. The way they play with human’s imagination, captivate their minds and enrich the outlook of the world you live in, simply separates them from any other musicians of any period. Perhaps somebody may say that their music is repetitive and flat, though you can not deny the fact that it’s actually what the life really is. Sometimes it’s extremely boring and another time it puzzles your brains completely. Truly speaking, nobody will remember complicated accurate phrases if they have never personally affected you. The Beatles with their deep messages, however, fulfilled to evoke people’s feelings at first sight.
Secondly, this band happened to be a universal pop rock phenomenon around in the 60s. They appeared “as saviours of a white middle class and made people believe in their own strength”. The Beatles music inspired millions of young people who wanted to rebel and not only conquered their hearts but gave them hope for the future. If those four boys could realize all their plans and at the same time succeed in it with pleasure that meant everyone should at least try their luck. Furthermore, every generation is somehow touched by Beatles’ everlasting lyrics together with the admiring sounding. As you know history has a tendency to repeat after a while. When it does people attempt to look back in the past and find the best solution analyzing already traversed path. In this way the Beatles’ songs surely served as a mirror of a decade which reflected their time in the light of sincere feelings and deep emotions. Even now listening to these songs people find there old things with a fresh flavour for their own situations. Such a joy is to relive those true to life stories created by legends of melody, harmony and vocals and to be a little part of that masterpiece.
Speaking about their works, everybody agrees that it’s one of the most successful groups ever. Though they existed only for seven years their creative legacy is extremely huge. Just to convince you of their enormous success, tracing back some of the achievements and accomplishments will be more than enough. The Beatles have sold over 1 billion records, recorded four of the top ten greatest albums of all time, have twenty-three of the top five hundred songs of all time and sixteen of the hundred most successful tracks of all time. Besides, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart’s Club Band is considered one of the greatest albums ever made.
Most of people obviously would not pay attention to these numbers or facts when evaluating the band for them. As a fact you never remember days or data, but moments and feelings. If the song makes you happy or even sad, if you are crawling only from one sound of it and your heart beats extremely fast that is the right reaction. The Beatles so far are the physical embodiment of how good music can be, and how good it should be. They were sent from heaven as the remedy for the world.
Conclusion
So, you can’t judge book by its cover but it’s up to you analyze every page and reread it millions of time if it is to your taste. Even if you may think you have studied the whole book by heart, every time you will surely discover something new. The Beatles could also look like such a book. Don’t be lazy to examine them from time to time and you will be satisfied with your findings. They left seven years of brilliantly recorded music and it’s your task to experience that mysterious legacy.
