As a matter of fact, restricting the intake of food, will lead to maintenance of individual body weight, which will stand below the normal healthy range a human being should have. In this case, the body will automatically react to starvation in different ways. These include slow heart rate, low blood pressure that will lead to half palpitation, tiredness, dizzy and feel to faint. Eating disorders harm a number of people in many ways, since low body weight due to eating disorders lead to stoppage of normal production of sex hormones. The impact further has the potential of causing infertility, and softening of bones in women. At low body weight, the body feels absolutely weak and cannot perform various muscular activities (National Eating Disorders Association, 2005).
In addition, it is evident that eating disorders harm people in many ways, since individuals with such habit make themselves vomit. Vomiting becomes part of their behavior making it difficult to change. In fact, it becomes a habitual and automatic relax after bone has taken food. Many people do not understand that during vomiting, half of the food is pushed into the intestines leading to excretion of undigested meal (Kelly et al, 2009). Moreover, vomiting leads to a great harm in many ways because it eliminates loss of nutrients and minerals. Therefore, it washes out the stomach fluids that could have been used in digestion of food.
Laxative abuse causes a lot of harm to the body. In most scenarios, it happens when individuals wants to get rid of calories that are not needed by the body, or to cause weight loss. Unfortunately, this is not what oil takes place in the body; laxative abuse is very dangerous and serious. This is because a laxative induced bowel very little of what is suppose to remove. Instead, it leads to loss of minerals, water, indigestible fiber, and electrolytes. The body is affected negatively since it causes dehydration, which may cause death. The harm that eating disorders causes through malnutrition include deficiency of micronutrients such as iron, iodine, or vitamins, energy, as well as proteins. Malnutrition causes exhausted bones and hair among individuals. Heart attack is another harm that is caused by eating disorders. In most cases, the youth with eating disorders are more vulnerable to heart attack. The situations can be very harmful to those working and operating machines. The most vital harm that is caused by eating disorders is death. In the global arena, the highest mortality rate and mental illness is caused by eating disorders. For example, there are many cases of deaths in the world that are caused by eating disorders. This is because of various harm and site effects of malnutrition, which become severe in some occasions. The harm that is caused by eating disorders may be dangerous and addictive e to uncontrollable state.
Finally, it is worth mentioning that eating disorders harm many people physically, emotionally, mentally, as well as behaviorally. Eating disorders are part of tremendous causes of illness in the world, and it can affect everybody regards of social, economic, or political affiliation. Basically, all types of eating disorders are vital to the normal functions of the human body (National Eating Disorders Association, 2005). In fact, a big number of people die on illnesses that are directly linked to eating disorders.
