Nowadays only the laziest person does not compare two political orders – socialism and capitalism. The major part of democratic global society claims that capitalism is hundred times more fair than socialism, comparing the life in the former USSR, Cuba, Venezuela with the life in the USA, the UK, Germany, and others. However, if the choice for one of mentioned before political systems were clear and transparent, then such issue would not evoke so many debates and discussions.
In general, these two orders are incomparable because it is impossible to compare black and white. It is a fight between collectivism imposed by socialism against individualism supported by capitalism. Socialism is worse for those who tend to think about themselves whereas capitalism is a disaster for someone who wants to take care of others. It is not a big deal to speak against such an unpopular system as socialism, but nobody can deny that it is better where the fast economic and military growth is required. The USSR is an excellent example of a miraculous transformation of a weak agricultural country into one of the most powerful empires for a very limited period. The sweet spot is possible, and Sweden is the greatest example that comes to mind, although it is more of an extraordinary case than a usual one.
Capitalism is a system that allows the talented and genius people to reveal the world their performance to become noticed and get the chance to work their way. It is a philosophy of American dream – to build the biggest business corporation having only twenty cents in the pocket. That is why Soviet scholars and scientists who left the USSR made their greatest scientific achievements in the USA. Olga Korbut, the star of sports gymnastics, got support from American authorities and investors for her talent and potential. She opened her school and launched the process of American dominance in the gymnastics. In short, capitalism is for tough and determined, talented and unusual.
However, what if the majority of the population is ordinary people? Is it possible to provide all of them with minimum comfort and necessary goods? The answer is positive in case the political system is socialism. In this case, the state monopolies have to invest in kindergartens, schools, hospitals and other social communities. Moreover, each school has its sponsor responsible for all necessary equipment and devices. Furthermore, the level of unemployment equals zero in the socialistic countries as well as the high education, and medical support is available for everyone. The issue of the quality is vital, but it is better to get some medical health for granted rather than not to have it on condition there is a shortage of money.
