Whenever there are changes that are to be effected in an organization, it is usually wise to communicate to all employees. The employees should be made aware of all the changes expected in the workplace so that there is a smooth flow of work within the organization. For instance, when there is a new way employees will be undertaking their duties or new systems put in place, it would be wise to announce it to the employees before putting in place such measures to ensure smooth transition.
This is meant to avoid any form of misunderstanding between them and the management and promoting good relationship between the management and the employees. This paper seeks to communicate to the employees regarding the new changes in the operations of WEBUYBOOKS Company through its consolidation.
The management is pleased to take you up to speed on the changes that are about to take effect on the organization in view of reorganizing the company’s redistribution system. The company’s warehouse on Garden Street in DeKalb, Illinois, will be closed, and all the inventory will be moved to the existing distribution center on Main Street in Sycamore, Illinois. The 25 members of staff on the warehouse section will therefore be operating from the distribution section when the consolidation is still going on.
This move is aimed at making our company stronger and more united without any sense of division because we share a common goal. This will also enable us have in ease operation without moving a lot to the other part of the company as time is of the essence. The workflow will also be a lot easier between the two sections. Moreover, this move will inculcate the culture of teamwork making our company stronger and we can get to undertake duties with a lot of ease and having a common goal in mind. The company will be divided into two sections during this period- the warehouse site will be on Section A since this is the first stage of the company’s operations while the distribution centre will be on Section B since it is the last stage in the company’s operations.
The employees from the warehouse section (Section A) consisting of 25 members will continue with their daily duties as usual. The duties involve reviewing each book purchased during the buyback events to determine its condition, inputting the textbook information into the company’s database, storing the textbooks until they are resold from the distribution center and transporting the textbooks to the distribution center (Section B). The same will apply to the distribution section, now section B which consists of fifty members and will be dealing with receiving the books from the warehouse (Section A), receiving and inputting orders from book stores and or individuals, processing the orders from the stores or individuals and arranging to ship the orders to the various you deal with. We seek the cooperation of every member of staff as we embark on this Endeavour and aim towards achieving our company’s goals.
