Some extrinsic motivators include grades, money, competition, punishment as well as coercion.

I believe that a manager can motivate employees in a workplace. Perhaps, a manager plays an important part in the motivation of the employees. It is of create importance to learn that, effectiveness of management is very crucial in the workplace. This is because effective management increases the morale of the workers and motivates them.

Self-management improves the discipline of the employees and gives them the motivation to work perfectly. Furthermore, the manager motivates them by expanding the job in the organization by assign employee’s higher level work. This helps the employees to build their career and psychologically feel the bosses. This entire strategy leads to increase in production and ability to contribute in the workplace.
Arguably, manager has the ability to motivate the employees by establishing an environment full of freedom and self-discipline. Management main role is to see that the organization succeeds; therefore, the success of the organization depends on employees. The manager should hire talented workers, set achievable goal and share the vision, recognize and appreciate employees, trust them and finally develop a motivate oriented culture.
