Transition into new management and leadership roles is not any greater than corner-office cauldrons. It mainly entails measures that are used to gauge the mettle of the executives from their first day in charge with such mounting pressures to strategize, communicate effectively and diagnose rising issues. Research has demonstrated that new managers can always follow certain fundamental principles that help them in implementing their goals as they try to immerse in their new roles as executive managers. Being a multinational, Ford is one of the renowned motor vehicle manufacturing industries commanding a huge presence both in the United States and the in the international markets.
Since every company is driven by the volumes of sales they make, it is important to adopt new channels that make the realization of huge sales a possibility. Doing away with traditional channels that bear no direct gains to a company can be the only available choice. With the ever growing competitive markets, production industries charged with the manufacture of different kinds of goods must do everything within their mandates to fulfil the threshold of keeping to the pace and taming the ever rising competition from rival companies. As such, Ford must follow suit.
Being a new manager, it is quite imperative to acknowledge the successes of the predecessors taking note of their leadership styles that helped propelled the company to the greater heights it currently sails in. while it is important to appreciate the same, it is noteworthy to inject new methods and that calls for a new mind-set. As a new manager in Ford, it is important that I come up with a deep understanding of the current company situation and be able to adapt to the prevailing reality. As a leader, I would adopt the start-up a new idea, turn around the company with new strategies, initiate an accelerated growth and have some realignment. Finally, I would craft ways to bring about sustaining success in the company.
Being that Ford lays focus on distribution of its products through dealerships, stores, websites and credit companies, it is important that effective training is carried out to instil new marketing strategies to the marketing teams in these sectors of distribution to improve on both quality and value addition. This will in turn lead to huge sales as a result of good customer reviews that come as a result of their satisfaction. Lastly, automation and innovations will be given high priority so as to make the operations easier.
