If human beings lived 10 times longer, a lot of things would need to change. Food production should increase more than ten times to feed the seemingly immortal generation. Health care services should also be revised in order to cater for everyone’s need. The retirement age will need to be revised, and new laws should be put in place. Again more homes should be built, and jobs should also be created for the population. Still, the societal believes, and practices would change. Natural resources would be depleted eventually due to the increased consumptions of those resources.
Genetic engineering pause a potential risk failure of some parts to function correctly. Mutation that might occur may bring a human being that cannot be accepted in the society. The perfect human beings that will be created will be more advantageous than the normal beings. Some can use this advanced technology to harm others by creating human beings could be flesh eating zombies. Economically, the poor people would be disadvantaged because they will not afford this expensive luxury. Some would take advantage by selling human parts illegally.
People can utilize the service to diagnose any problem if any and take action in time. This gives the unborn child another chance to live. There is no point of denying a child a healthy life. Infant mortality can be highly reduced by a reasonable percentage in turn, increasing the fertility of the people.
I just do not want to live forever. The world is changing fast, and I do not think I would learn to adapt to these changes. If I do not, that means, I will be bored for the rest of my life. In heaven, that is the only place I would love to live forever. This world we are living in is full of heartaches that I cannot learn to put up with them for the rest of my life.
