Globalization is a process of mutual integration of the countries in different spheres of life, mostly in economics, cultural life and societies with the help of global network which is realized through political ideas concerning world communication, trade and transportation.
Each country on our planet is like a separate world living its own life and facing some problems during its development. Nevertheless, there is always something that unites all people around the world, disregarding race, nationality, place of living – we, human beings, live on one planet, breath the same air and look at the same sun. Unfortunately, this was not enough for all nations to unite until the moment they faced epidemics, natural disasters, and world financial crisis. Looking for better solutions, all nations were to start global networking which resulted in a lot of advantages for each nation and people as the whole.
First of all, economical globalization has opened a large market of products giving people more opportunities to choose among great variety of goods. Consequently, the competition between companies has grown and led to relatively low prices that save the world economy from high rate of inflation. Furthermore, developing countries benefit from globalization due to a sound money flow, which results in decreasing currency difference. Taking into consideration problems that are similar for each particular country, globalization helps to find a common solution for all of them, using ideas provided by each country’s representatives, thus, picking the most useful and smartest among suggestions. It is worth mentioning that globalization presupposes communication between countries, hence, a better understanding and broader vision. As an illustration, one can observe cultures’ interchange – people are able to understand each others’ needs better and help each other in difficult situations. Additionally, all countries aim at cooperation in such issues as environment protection, natural disasters, wars’ prevention and others. Being together means being powerful facing challenges throughout world’s existence.
Undoubtedly, there are also some disadvantages of globalization. Firstly, the level of unemployment is rising in European countries as it is much cheaper for employers to hire workers in Asian countries. Also, this may seem to be exploitation of poor countries by the richer countries as the work force is taken advantage of and the latter implement low wages.
Furthermore, every type of business is always under the threat of outsourcing. In the same manner, there is a possibility that very soon corporate will rule the world, creating monopoly and thus, conquering any competition. Moreover, scientists say that globalization is the reason for social degeneration and communicable diseases in countries.
Despite all the disadvantages mentioned above, I strongly believe that globalization is a very important phenomenon that needs to be implied in our society’s life. The result will be that mankind would be able to easily overcome all the difficulties together, countries hand in hand. What is more, the technical and economical progress will lead to a new civilization which would be the smartest and the most intellectually developed in our universe.
Nowadays globalization is very useful in dealing with world disasters like AIDS, starvation, war, economical crisis and others. All of us are human beings, one family living in the same house that is called Planet Earth. Hence, we need to care about each other and make our life happier with the help of common efforts.
