Introduction
Interoperability has become very popular in many organizations. Interoperability has offered solution to managerial problems, which arise from the complexity of functions and heterogeneity of tasks as well as products. Interoperability has made work in most organizations easy as it enables different systems and factors within an organization to work collectively from a common point of control.
One of the applications, which have enhanced interoperability in the medical sector, is the Spring Charts EHR. This system was a product of a team of technology experts and physicians who had aimed at coming up with a soft ware which enables the medical practioners and organizations such clinics to provide improved patient care.Springcharts is basically designed with features which increase efficiency and productivity for small clinics as well as the big ambulatory clinics (Gallaher 42). Provision of quality and efficient medical care has become necessary in the modern competitive world. This system is a break through towards curing complexities that exist in the functions, tasks and operations that exist in the medical profession.
This system also provides affordable recording and documentation, which is free from disruption. Apart from providing comprehensive medical records, this system has also facilitated other functions such as patient tracking, email and messaging, appointments and chart evaluation among others (Grier 23).
As much as we need to create efficiency in delivery of medical care through automated systems such as Spring Chart there is equally a big need to ensure that security of these programs is guaranteed. Cases of patient’s information leaking and ending up with theb wrong people can be a great drawback. Spring Chart has thus guaranteed security through the use of Aqua (James 13). Arius health partners with Aqua can connect to provide safe remote access to authorized people only. This means that information within the system only circulates in safe hands.
