I am a student at the University of Virginia currently pursuing my bachelor’s degree in Finance and Management. In the course of my academia, I have acquired great financial and HR knowledge which I will execute fully in your organization. Despite still being a student, I have also acquainted myself with a wide range of skills and professional certifications. I possess strong organizational and communication skills. Am also very good at data entry using various statistical programs as well as MS Excel. I have great skills in computer and MS Office. I also have experience with Quick Books, eVA, Banner, and PeopleAdmin.
Previously, I worked part-time at the University of Virginia as a Finance and HR Assistant in the students’ center. I thus have the necessary knowledge and experience to perform my duties as MEC Finance and HR Assistant at your university. In my previous job, I was able to utilize my skills in QuickBooks mainly to perform management tasks of reconciliation, generating reports as well as data entry. Specifically, I was responsible for keying in every day sales. Moreover, I got the chance to familiarize myself with PeopleAdmin, eVA, Banner and state and university purchasing guidelines. I was the person responsible for placing orders for the items required in the students’ center, a job I did very well.
