Dear Mr. Jones,
I’m writing for information about Wayside Inn. We are very much interested in holding a seminar in these premises and would like to inquire about some particularities in advance.
We are currently searching for an appropriate place to hold the lecture of Dr. Sparks. In order to hold such a lecture, we would require a room to accommodate a maximum of 100 people. These people will be paying a substantial sum to hear Dr. Sparks and that is why we won’t to make this as pleasant and comfortable as possible. We require a room which is free from outside noise, such as that of load celebrations not far away. It is preferable that it have solid walls and not be one of smaller rooms into which a large room has been partitioned with screens. The room would also need to be equipped with a lectern, computer and projector, screen, and whiteboard. Because the people who attend the lecture are likely to come by car, the motel must be able to provide up to 100 parking spaces. I would also like to inquire about the possibility of valet parking to accommodate the guests. Is such a room available at the Wayside Inn?

I am writing to inform you about the new format in which all of you are to submit your reports this year. From now on, the submitted data is to follow such a structure:
1. major accomplishments for each branch
2. any major problems facing the branch
3. branch objectives for the coming year
4. plans for meeting these objectives
5. anticipated difficulties
I would also like each branch to submit a brief one paragraph summary on each subject. It is to cover the branch’s operations last year in the areas of organization planning, quality of service, personnel management, operating costs, health and safety, product development, and any other matters you may deem significant.
Please organize the reports in the above stated manner and submit them by June 30th.
