Essay On Life, Liberty And The Pursuit Of Happiness

Every person has the right to live their life, feel free in the society and do things that make them happy, follow dreams in other words. That is what Thomas Jefferson says in the Declaration of Independence and this gives people hope that it is absolutely real. However, is it so easy nowadays to live a happy life and be a free individual in this powerful world full of injustice and obstacles? The thing is that if even one wants to do so it is quite hard in modern society where you should fight to be happy.
It seems absolutely possible just to be free. Of course, we are, we can say what we want and do what we want as long as we are not violating the law. However, whenever one expresses their personal opinion there will always be someone who will judge them. So can that person feel free now when the fear of your own thoughts appear once someone starts judging them. Liberty is actually a very complicated phenomenon. Theoretically we all have it but practically we are all controlled by someone more powerful like authorities, government and the rich. Now comes the question how to pursuit happiness in the environment where what you think is argued in multiple ways, where someone tells you what to do and thinks that they have the right to be in control of your life instead of you. How to be happy when what is happening around you makes you feel in a completely opposite way and restricts you from it?! Right, it is much harder to do that than just to write it down on the paper.
Thus what Thomas Jefferson meant is, of course, great and it sounds really fair to every human being who deserves to be happy in a way they want it happen. But unfortunately, it is not always possible for this to be true and you need sometimes to struggle in order to make it real.
