Developing and training a group of volunteers or Community Residents who can provide community education around some problem like child abuse in foster care facilities.
The society is usually surrounded with a lot of problems, which negatively influence the well being of people. Sometimes dealing with these challenges becomes extremely challenging. Some of the problems are rampant and are deeply rooted in the society, and they need exclusive efforts to be eliminated in the society. Various facilities have witnessed exclusive social challenges where exclusive measures must be undertaken. Outstanding examples of areas that have faced extensive problems are children foster care facilities. There has been exclusive child abuse in these facilities. However, this problem may be eliminated through the provision of community education to the community residents.
One of the strategies for educating the society on the danger of child abuse is through encouragement for voluntary work among community residents. Following the complexity of the challenges that educators may experience in the society, educators must be prepared accordingly through exclusive training (Balatti and Cecily, 2010).
The first step would be to identify residents who are agitated by child abuse in foster facilities. These are the best individuals to extend information to the rest of the citizens on the need to respect child rights. Also, trainers may seek to understand the willingness among volunteers to learn more about the ill practice in the society. After that, a training program should be introduced where the volunteers should be introduced to a given schedule that will assist them in reaching the society (Balatti and Cecily, 2010).
In this training, various elements must be considered extremely critical. Such elements include communication skills, proper interrelationship between trainers and the members of the society (Balatti and Cecily, 2010). The educators must have an excellent understanding of the problem as well as exclusive arguments on why child abuse in foster care facilities should be eliminated.
Through proper education, and campaign against child abuse in foster care facilities, the society will understand and appreciate the role of a child in a society. It will also be an excellent platform to understand the demerits of exposing children to such challenges.
Examining staff development opportunity and if appropriate developing training on a topic that staff have express a need for more information.
Staff development is a major responsibility for any organization. It is a process through which an employee is strengthened to handle various responsibilities that the organization may entrust him or her. In most cases, the human resource department is entrusted the role of staff development (Caseley, 2003). However, the organization has to first identify a staff development opportunity.
Identification of staff development opportunity is a process, and massive keenness is encouraged to the human resource manager. The organization must identify the kind of skills it would like to nurture among its staff members. These skills must be in line with the vision, mission and goals of the organization.
After identifying the opportunities that the organization may invest in among its employees, staff development technique should be formulated. Although, there are various staff development methods the most common and useful method is staff training (Caseley, 2003). This is a program where employees are nurtured by qualified trainers on what the organization expects them to do.
One of the topics that may be discussed is the need for more information among staff members. The trainer must expose employees to various sources of information as well as proper methods of maintaining the acquired information. At this point, the trainer must offer reliable examples on proper communication strategies. It is vital to make the staff understand that communication is an extremely useful element in any organization.
