Introduction
The best way to correctly handle and store good is to follow storage policies and processes that have been stipulated by the management. It is because some stocks require being in different temperatures so that they cannot be damaged. Therefore, placement in the wrong place will damage the goods. Stocks placement can also differ depending on the type of stock some can be placed on the floor, shelves and fixtures for proper storage (World intellectual property organization, 2001, p. 50).
Labeling of goods with pricing information is important, especially if the goods are on a window and the customer cannot ask the price from outside. The goods are to also be priced according to the store policies on pricing the merchandise correctly. It is also to be coordinated such that at the pay stall the price on the tag corresponds with that in the computer (Bridge, 2000, p. 80). Display areas are the most important element that attracts the customer other than the goods shabbily placed goods cannot attract customers like properly arranged goods. The display areas are to be arranged to accommodate the merchandise that is in demand with even promotion goods being seen as most of them attract customers. It requires constant update, with specification to the layout of the merchandise on display (Mceachern, 2014, p. 48).
Price ticketing can be done electronically and by hand. The two are the best for ticketing the goods correctly and according to the policies of the store. It should be done correctly to avoid discrepancies when the customer is buying the goods and that is when the realization hits that the price is not correct for the commodity the customer is taking or buying. Pricing should also incorporate pricing requirements that include GST requirements. It can also feature discounting some commodities.
Depending on how long the commodity has till it expires the best way is to remove it from the shelves so that customers cannot buy products that are almost expiring this is to be in accordance to store legislatives that are to be followed strictly when it comes to goods expiry dates. After the products have been taken away the best thing is for the stock to be replenished so that the customers can buy goods that are not about to expire (Begoun, 2009, p. 82).
Damaged goods cannot be bought by the customer this means that the distributor is to be accountable for the damage of the goods, therefore the best way to handle the issue is to follow the policies on damaged goods and get other goods that are not damaged.
Products to be considered for summer are products that affect the customers during summer products that educe acne, and other skin issues like pimple reduction products. They remove blemishes and are refreshing other products and can include tanning products that are mostly bought during the summer to reduce sunburn and affect a proper tan these products can be bought very fast (Rennie, 2005, p. 142).
