- Nursing as a profession is one of the most promising if one intends to pursue it. This is because it involves a lot in that it concerns the community and constant interaction with the people around. It touches mostly on the social life of the community. It has varied characteristics as spelt out in the nursing profession journals. Nursing is caring; it is a profession that involves close personal contact with the recipient of care. Nursing is more concerned with serves that take humans into describe as physiologic, psychological, and sociological organisms which needs to be treated with a lot of care and much attention be given to them in times of need.
- One of the life experiences that inspired me most into the field of nursing was the case of the need in the community for support in terms of healthcare and how to avoid some necessary health problems. I grew up in a village in which many struggle to make ends meet health wise which is a great challenge to them. I worked as a volunteer in one of the health care center and worked under the accident and emergency unit and had a desire to have the compassion to the victims.
- Full of empathy towards others. Also, ethical and non-judgmental in approaching issues pertaining to health issues. More importantly, I’m always confidential and trustworthy.
- i. Integrity; is the ability to be upright with high level of honesty in any field of a profession.
ii. Responsibility; the act of being answerable for someone for something and being responsible for the deeds of ones actions. This may also entails taking personal blames on the actions you undertakes.
iii. Accountability; is the act of being responsible for someone or to some activities one has done.
iv. Impeccability; is the ability of existing without doing any error in an activity, having any fault. Being perfect in the assigned duty and doing it diligently.
v. Caring; is the act of feeling and exhibiting concern and empathy for others with reference to their situation or condition.
- Yes, my initial aim from my childhood has been to help the community and the society or the world at large in improving their life through nursing and by completing the program will enable me to achieve my longtime dream.
- One thing to ensure one in completing a program in nursing, he needs to encourage and affirm himself or herself and beliefs that he or she is in the right direction of his or her career. Most importantly, one needs to surround himself with good people with positive drive towards his or her dream.
- Keiser University is accredited nationally prestigious institution. The coursework and degree one takes and complete through this prestigious institution will be recognized by all other colleges and universities as well as evaluating and certifying agencies, as well as employers.
- After my completion of the program, am looking forward in being crowned as the best nurse in the nation and being assigned the duty in the top office of the hospital in order to help the patients with a lot of efficiency. Will be able to deal with the possible emergency concerns and people with critical conditions especially in the intensive care unit sectors.
- In 10 years after the completion of the Keiser University Nursing Program, it is my vision to enroll for other cycles of study in my career field and achieve the highest class of study. Once I get the full accreditation in the line of nursing, I would wish to work as a professional in my best field, create a working relation with everybody around me and achieve my desired goal of assisting the society.
Conclusion
Nursing is a profession that is so challenging at some points but so rewarding. Once a person gets full accreditation in the nursing discipline, he gets the ability to earn more money and change the world to a better place to live in and make the lives of the people living around more promising than ever before.
