Research methods are often structured in a systematic method with the aim of finding responses to questions posed. The processes are often systematic as they aim at breaking down the complex case scenario and finding a conclusive remark to the phenomena. Therefore, Research is considered successful when solutions are found, answers that we may or not agree to. Development of research does therefore require a focused, relevant and important question that is addressing the phenomena in discussion. Without question thus, there is not research been carried out.
In this case of ensuring nurses understand the key concepts as they review the research studies, they employed the use of interviews and face on face conversations with the aim of finding out the past experience from the people they dealt with. They developed well structured questions for interviews to help move the discussions and dig deep into the research areas. Likewise the use of case studies and surveys enabled deeper access on useful information. The surveys were useful in the case where the quantitative figures were necessary as they helped reach a large group of people in a very short time thereby helping ease the research process. The information collected through this version is both qualitative and quantitative in its form as research that was conducted depends on various variables in its nature that gives the qualitative and quantitative reflection of the situation that was under the study.
The case studies would be handy in analyzing the various experiences that have influenced different individuals that have been affected by the feature in study. Based on the group of people that would use the materials found by the research, case studies are useful as some people can easily identify with certain stories than just hard statistics and facts. Therefore in this case, case studies would be useful in providing useful qualitative information. This is useful in enabling them understand the cause and effect and thus the connection between the two factors and how the interaction of these factors have influenced the relevant lives.
