Introduction
For one to conduct a detailed analysis of a topic surrounding online education, it is better to be careful with the choice of sources to be used because some sources may give bias information regarding the same topic. Apart from that, the validity and credibility of the sources being consulted should be approved empirically and realistically to ensure that information collected from such sources is accurate.
Where the research was done and what sources were used
I considered conducting my research using online sources; categorically, from online media sources because these sources presented their information about online education in a clear and an informed way. The sources used are secondary sources because other online, media researchers had undertaken a research on the same and I opted to use their findings to arrive at develop my research. I think the sources were credible because the online media researchers collected information both from primary and secondary sources. Apart from that, some of them conducted online survey to collect data, arrive at specific findings, and make conclusions.
Did you reject any of the sources you found?
During my online research, I found sources from written opinionated articles and others from academic websites from learning institutions. I did not consider using them because they were not credible and valid; most of them criticised the whole issue on online education without giving scientifically proven reasons, which are also realistic. Others gave luring information in such a way that they were out to attract students to join online education to specific institutions.
Conclusion
The method used in conducting a research depends with the motive of the study, the nature of research and information about sampling units. In this case, the motive of the study relates to establishing the future of online education. For this reason, it was wise to use online sources. I used online, media sources because of their credibility and validity. Their access to some of the sampling units gave them an upper hand in ensuring that they present verified information. While this was so, I avoided other sources, especially those that were opinion-based.
