1. Based on the given results from taken assessments, I need to admit that in almost all the categories I am on an average scale. If I have to separate one of my strengths, that will be self-esteem. The results show that I have a moderate self-esteem (47) that is somewhat below the class average (51). Regardless of my future profession, self-esteem is highly important because it creates a sense of calmness, fulfillment that comes from inside. My goal is to develop and work on my self-esteem, because low self-esteem influences other traits in a person that may lead to failure and depression. High self-esteem leads to a better judgment, enjoyment in overcoming of obstacles that enhance the reflection of my own personality. Self-esteem is an area where I would like to improve, but my primary goal would be to develop my skills that lead to the increased self-esteem. If I have strong self-confidence, I can present myself as a person who is willing to deal with everything, and respect would come as a reward. A person cannot develop self-esteem through night. Every individual needs to invest a lot in education, personal reflection and investigation in order to enhance the self-esteem. On the other side, focusing on self-esteem can enhance future success and influence because a confident person gives an impression of a strong and reliable person. I want to become a strong and confident person regardless of my future profession.
2. Taken assessments reflect my weaknesses in the conflict-handling situations. In the conflict-handling table, my score (15) was high above the average class (10) in the type of conflict avoidance. As an introvert person, I do not enjoy in conflicts, and in most cases try to avoid them even though I am aware that it may lead to no solution, just hides the issue under the carpet. Dealing with conflict situation is one of the areas that I need to focus because conflicts are inevitable in many situations and frequently lead to good ideas. As conflict-avoidance is closely associated with emotional intelligence, I have to improve in both of the mentioned areas. By controlling my emotions and entering a conflict situation clear headed, I can contribute to my team and myself. Based on the results of my assessment, I see the biggest roadblock to my career success conflict avoidance. If I do not develop my personality and fight reticence, I may withdraw from every challenging situation and miss my opportunity in advancing in a career. In order to develop, every person needs to accept his personality without any prejudice. The first step is to rationalize my fears from possible confrontation and to accept the results they are. I want to improve in the future, because I am aware that a strong personality is not only beneficial for the future profession, but for my individuality as well. I am strongly motivated to improve and develop skills that are important for emotional intelligence and avoidance on confrontation.
3. This assessment gave me general guidelines of the areas that I need to improve. By being aware of the areas that are important for the development of personality and job prosperity, I can slowly start to rebuild myself and find strength to change. The road of changing will be painful, but I am aware that I will only gain from it. I was surprised the most by the result of emotional intelligence. Even though the class average was 39.3, I had a score of 34. After retrospection of the result, I concluded that by avoiding conflict situations, I did not have any possibility to test my emotional intelligence, and that is why I thought that I was mislead by thinking that I have a high level of emotional intelligence.
