Essay On Peter Pan And The Never Never Land

Frostburg State University's Department of Theatre and Dance presented the story of the boy who never grew up through the eyes of Matthew Earnest, a famous professional director well known in the United States, Europe, and Africa. Once again, Peter Pan captures the hearts of everyone as he travels to the Darling household and to the Never Never Land. Recommended for children 6 years old and above, even those who are already experiencing second childhood will enjoy how Peter Pan leads the Darling children and the Lost boys to fight Captain Hook.
The encounter between Peter Pan and the Darling siblings occur in London when Peter goes back to retrieve his wandering shadow. However, being such a mischievous shadow, the Darling children awaken and Peter invites them to go with him to Never Never Land. This is where the adventure happens where they meet the Lost Boys and together, they fight against Captain Hook.
In general, the play is a reminder for me that even in adulthood, I should let my imagination work because through it, I can achieve a lot if I visualize what I want in life. Despite the complications that adulthood brings, it is still a good place to be in as it means growth and various experiences in life. It also makes me see the beauty of both happiness and sadness as they go together although one seems to cause pain while the other gives joy. However, how can there be true appreciation of what happiness is if we do not experience what sadness is all about? It is the same thing with fear and courage, which was exemplified in the play through the encounters between Peter Pan, Wendy, and the Lost Boys against Captain Hook. It makes me realize that courage is the result of fear, especially when faced it nothing else or when one is pushed against the wall.
Although the play is about children and how it feels to never grow up, it is also a story that adults can enjoy and glean lessons from.
