- According to the developers of I>Clicker, it is an instrument that enables sampling a group of people
- It is popular in school since it can be used in both big and small modules and it encourages nonverbal and verbal communication.
- The instructor may ask a question and students will answer using a smart device, and the instructor will display the results on the front board in real-time.
- This means students can interact with the teacher without physical mobility to the board and students’ data is generated automatically.
- Innovativeness
- As Mary and Aikman asserts, I>Clicker is one of the most technological advanced software when it comes to learning
- The main reason is because it allows interaction during learning
- It can also store data for future reference; for example, when the tutor decides to grade students using their participation in class, he or she just refers from the data stored at I>Clicker
- Similarly, it allows the instructor to make diagrammatic representations such as graphs and charts which enhance learning
- Challenges
- Like any other commodity or product, I>Clicker has some challenges although they are outweighed by the advantages
- One of the challenges as outlined by Mollbom and Hoekstra is that it deters the students from engaging their cognitive ability in class in regard to learning objectives.
- Secondly, it is limited to multiple choice scenarios which do not promote students’ creativity.
