Dear Mr______,
I appreciate your concern about depleting natural resources and ruthless corporate activities. The government always tries to maximise economic growth; at the same time it has strict laws to protect natural resources. Recently our economy witnessed a spurt in construction by corporate houses; it was done to give a boost to the stagnant economic activity and growth rate. The aim is to revive the economy; we have devised fiscal and monetary policies to keep a check on unnecessary construction by the private corporations. The moment our targets are achieved and the economy is stabilised; we will increase corporate and industry taxes to pull out money from the economy.
Best Regards,
Dear Mr._________,
I thank you for your concern; the recessionary trend was a global phenomenon and we tried our best to face the situation to revive the economy. The government followed an expansionary fiscal and monetary policy initially by reducing taxes, increasing government spending and lowering bank rates to minimum. The result was growing demand and increased production. I appreciate your suggestion of selective taxation; we will consider taxing the revenues of non profit organizations. The military expenses had to be undertaken to protect our country from terrorist attacks; these expenses never yield monetary returns but are crucial for national safety. The government has kept tax rates low for the middle income group and has devised tax exemptions and subsidies for them; especially in education. I hope that our controlled fiscal and monetary policies will be in interest of the general public.
Best Regards,
