Re: Recommendation for Reinstatement
Dear Sirs/Mesdames:
I have known <Student’s Name> since he enrolled in my class, <Name of Course Module>, during the semester 20__ to 20__. As a student, he was observed to be diligent and strongly committed to the compliance of the course and program requirements. He actually performed above average than the rest of his classmates; which confirmed steadfastness and genuine determination, not only to pass the course, but to learn the theoretical frameworks for future applications.
I am convinced that students also have their ups and downs. There must have been some instrumental factors which were deemed contributory to his leaving the university without the official leave. I am sure that he has relayed valid reasons which justify leaving; and more importantly, which rationalizes his intention to return and be reinstated. He has relayed that he would like to be a graduate and an alumnus of the University of San Francisco (USF), considered as one of the most prestigious universities in the country.
In my capacity as his previous professor, I could vouch for his academic performance within the realm of the course module where he enrolled. The academic performance that he exhibited and manifested during this time period was visibly remarkable and created an indelible image from my perspective. His academic discipline was highly commendable and he showed potentials for becoming a productive member of business professionals in the near future. He had consistently participated in class discussions; he submitted all course requirements within the stipulated time frame; and he exhibited above average in cognitive and analytical skills that effectively showed that he appropriately earned the grades he received.
Likewise, he was observed to be a helpful classmate who was always ready to share the knowledge that was readily gained to those who needed assistance. He persistently excelled in his individual work; as well as in group projects where his team mates openly professed appreciation and commendation for doing his part well. The efforts he exerted prove his enthusiasm and dedication to the achieving the learning objectives; exhibiting his innate interpersonal skills; as well as exemplifying leadership skills which are most required in global organizations today. He was also observed to possess innate business acumen which would make the USF proud for holistically honing the knowledge, skills, talents, and abilities needed to make him duly competitive in his field of endeavor.
As such, I am firmly recommending that he be reinstated in his program. I had the opportunity to meet and talk to him about his determination to complete the program and his conviction and determination evidently confirm that he would be more focused on his studies to improve on any academic weaknesses that have previously emerged. He shared his dream and his professional goal of becoming a successful businessman. He indicated that his dream would only be fulfilled with the university’s approval of his reinstatement application. I am therefore relaying my complete belief and knowledge that his intention to complete his program is firmly entrenched.
I hope that through this recommendation letter, the Appeals Committee would accord him with the opportunity to continue pursuing his program and to eventually graduate within the remaining time frame.
Thank you.
Very truly yours,
<Your Name>
