Analysis of the appreciation of art
Paintings, being one of the most appreciated forms of art are evaluated by genre, which is evaluated with different principles related to art. Duccios Maesta was an artist who was tasked with developing cathedral art work in the year 1308. This art work was known as Maesta across the world since it was composed mainly of various paintings by the artist Duccio for the Siena city. The front part of the panel was comprised of Madonna as well as a child with angels while the reversal was a summary of Christ and the virgin (Kleiner, 2011). .
There where various political as well as other impacts that where realized through the Maesta paintings. First, the when the paintings were being installed into the church, all political as well as economic activities were put to a standstill, meaning that the work had national implications. In addition, the fourteenth century painting by Giotto had the message of peace in times when Italy was faced with the possibility of war (Gubert, 2002).
Moreover, the painting by Duccio of the virgin holding a child and surrounded by saints, showed emotions of sympathy and love among human beings in a time when Christians where divided and politics crashed with Christianity. Therefore, the painting would bring unity in politics as well as all human races (Kleiner, 2011). .
In conclusion, artists like Duccio whose work was done a long time ago used this powerful tool to communicate various messages of peace, anger love and emotions. Today, artists have been used by politicians in developing campaign slogans and painting their tools like tee shirts. Therefore, art has been appreciated across all fields of life in sending messages of aspects affecting humanity.
